Major Story Arcs
Dr. Lincoln proved to be just as dangerous as her predecessor and sought revenge against Firestorm, who she blamed for her friend's death. Selling her soul to Neron for more power, Killer Frost attacked Hawaii during the Underworld Unleashed event. She succeeded in freezing many of the islands before Superboy and Knockout managed to stop her. She held a brief relationship with the fire-based Effigy. Killer Frost was one of the many characters who sought to claim the $1 billion reward offered by President Lex Luthor for the capture of Superman and Batman. She teamed up with other cold-themed villains Mr. Freeze, Icicle, and Captain Cold, but the frosty foursome met with defeat. Killer Frost (alongside Mirror Master) was hired by Dr. Light to participate in an attack on a hospital where Kimiyo Hoshi (the heroic Dr. Light) was recovering. Green Arrow managed to defeat Killer Frost using an arrow filled with Greek fire, something she could not absorb. Lex Luthor, Joker, and Cheetah recently invited Killer Frost into the new Injustice League, which she accepted.
Killer Frost was one of the villains sent to planet Salvation. She was later seen as a member of Libra's society. Then chasing after the Secret Six to obtain the get out of hell free card.
The New 52's Killer Frost is no longer Louise Lincoln, instead she was a scientist of S.T.A.R. labs called Caitlin Snow. Killer frost has been redesigned with ice spikes for hair. Killer Frost, Black Bison, Hyena, and Plastique surround Firestorm and Joanne Raymond. They attack individually. She encases Firestorm in ice soon after getting out of the water from the harbor. Firestorm breaks free and soon propelled into the air by Plastique and rendered unconscious. Killer Frost and Black Bison battle Major Force, who has been sent to help. She has encased Major Force in ice when a rejuvenated Firestorm frees Major Force. Firestorm changes the structure of the cement around Killer Frost and quickly changes the concrete back and she is caught within the concrete.
As the youngest and brightest scientist S.T.A.R. has ever recruited, Caitlin Snow began working with other scientists at S.T.A.R. labs outpost #72: She was greeted and welcomed by the staff, but behind closed doors they wanted her gone. She took the place of another scientist, Dr. Louise Lincoln, and began studying her work on creating a self-sustaining thermodynamic engine which can create a perpetual motion of solar energy which would change the worlds idea of conducting energy.
On the verge of finishing the machine, her fellow scientists locked her in the chamber. They wanted the engine to explode with her in it, but things didn't go according to plan. The ultra conductor started feeding back into itself, and a bright light flashed before their eyes. Caitlin had rearranged the super-coolant wiring right before they turned the machine on, and it overloaded allowing the chamber to be flooded with cold air. The combination changed her completely.
She emerged from the giant block of ice, grabbing the person nearest to her and draining him of his life. She felt so empty, that his warmth fed her, and thats when she knew she needed warmth to feel alive. One by one each of the scientists fell prey to her cold hands. From then on her life was never the same.
Three years later, her intellect allowed her to design a suit that could retain the heat she took from others yet she still needed to take the life of another. The one day she had her first fight with Firestorm, and she knew that his power was the only power that could make her normal again.
Try after try, she would get energy from him, but it never lasted long enough. From here on out she would try to either defeat him, or come up with something similar.
Powers & Abilities
Cryokinesis: Can generate extreme temperatures of cold in order to freeze molecules of moisture that hang in the air to freeze others in place, summon gusts of super-cold air, and create weapons such as ice-daggers
Heat Absorption: Can absorb all of the heat from other sources. Generally used to reduce the temperature of people's bodies until they freeze to death and reduce the heat of her surroundings. As a result, heat based-weapons strengthen her.
