@Babs: Absolutely!! I liked WW better than First Flight, even. It was an incredible comeback for the character after not being seen much in the animated world after Justice League. I had a whole new respect for the WW after watching it!
" @Vance Astro: Yeah Paul Dini showed that she uses photosynthesis to survive in a recent issue of Gotham City Sirens. "
I was just going to point that out.
( ***SPOILER???***)
She's essentially locked away in a hole, with no access to sun and water. She starts to literally wither, until she's thrown into a fountain and exposed to sunlight and she's rejuvenated instantly.
But if we're talking about her having a relationship with a human of any gender, I really can't see it. I saw the pose about the upcoming comic with her "boyfriend" but, to me, she has a very strong hatred toward humanity. We did see her maternal instincts come to the surface after the earthquake, which is one of her "human" moments.
But I just picture her looking at a man during a dinner date and watching him eat and feeling utter disgust, viewing him as an animal even if he were devoted to her cause.
I could be entirely misinterpreting her character, but she doesn't seem the kind to have any true whole-hearted affection to another human, with Harley and her ambiguous feelings toward Batman aside.
@StrangerXL: If she DID truly pick her character, I can't imagine her choosing a character without some sort of powers. Granted Maria Hill is a pretty strong character, as well as important, but (at least for me) when compared to characters like Scarlet Witch or Wasp, the choice seems pretty clear.
