The house comes crashing down on them, and Diana grabs Julia and Vanessa. Decay has a hold of Diana's tiara and dares her to approach her to grab the tiara. Neighbours gather around to see what the commotion is, as Decay laughs an evil laugh and shoots up to the sky. Diana looks high and low in the sky for Decay while the Olympus gods question whether she is suited for the job of defeating Ares. However, Hermes has faith in Diana as it has been decreed that if the Man's World were to survive, then their salvation must come at Diana's hands.

Meanwhile at Hanscom Air Force Base, Etta Candy is searching through General Tolliver's office, looking for Steve Trevor's file. She finds it, and marked on it is "Ares Project". She takes photos of it, and carefully locks up, taking caution. Then the night guard calls her over and points her to the TV, in which a report of a glowing object is seen in the sky. The local foliage has also begun to rot. Moments later, the reporter reports that the decay is spreading all over the city.

Across the city, Decay unleashes her breath much like a hurricane. The Boston Massacre Monument soon topples over but Diana catches it just in time, saving people right under it. Holding the monument, she tosses it at Decay but before it can even reach her, it turns into powder. More of the press arrive, as Decay tells Diana about the humiliating death she will soon suffer. Diana fights back with a "Or yours Decay... once I get my hands on you!" but she reminds Diana that she has created so much havoc in Boston City, and she has hardly lifted a finger.

Diana charges for Decay but her emotions have clouded her thinking, and she forgets about Decay's special touch. Diana starts aging, yet she tells Decay that she will not admit defeat. Decay tells her that she will turn into dust and be one with the Earth. Then, Diana remembers the Lasso of Truth - she wraps it around Decay's neck, as the lasso always renews, as Gaea renews the Earth. Decay continues to struggle as ironically, the lasso pours life into Decay, who is made of death. Decay, screaming, explodes and her body falls to the ground, turning into dust.

The camera crews rush over the Decay's carcass, as Wonder Woman flies down to put her tiara back where it rightfully belongs. The camera crews then suddenly rush over to her, and she is surrounded by flashes and questions she does not understand. Confused, she flies back up, looking for Julia.

Meanwhile, Phobos is furious at Deimos' plan of Decay. Deimos fires energy blasts at him and Phobos is hanging over the edge. Deimos tells him that his attempt at killing Diana may have ruined Ares' plans and lets Deimos to fall.

In Boston, the editor for the Boston Globe-Leader Newspaper, Carole Bennett stares at the photo of Diana. Realising that the Daily Planet's sales skyrocketed after Superman appeared, she knew that she had to have Diana on the front page. She needed a name for her. She noticed a bird of some sort and a stylised "W". She smiles as an idea comes to her. The following morning, the city is buzzing with the front page having Diana and the title ""Wonder Woman! Mystery heroine saves city from Deadly Demon of Destruction".

In northern Boston, Etta returns home from shopping and enters her house as Steve is sitting on the lounge, shocked that the woman on TV was the same woman who saved him. With that, Steve sets out to find Diana along with Etta. Little do they know that Colonel Michaelis is following them.

Vanessa is at Mercy General Hospital where the doctors do not know what is wrong with her. The doctors cannot heal her and as they leave, Julia starts crying. She then hears a voice, Diana's voice in fact. Julia is filled with joy and asks her if she has found a cure. Diana still doesn't understand English very well but shows the Talisman and through that, tells her that this is Julia's fight as well.

They both arrive back at home and Julia studies the Talisman as Diana looks out the window. Just then, she sees a shadow amongst the trees and Julia finds herself alone. Julia looks around for Diana as a gun is trained on her when Diana wraps the lasso around the man's wrist. They then recognise each other and Steve asks for her help again. Diana does not trust him though, as he was the messenger of death. Suddenly, Etta shrieks as Colonel Michaelis is seen holding a gun with Etta against the car, unconscious.
