    Steve Rogers' covert team of Avengers hits Mars in search of a missing teammate and answers to a growing conspiracy.  This issue doesn't feature a whole lot of story progression, but that isn't a criticism. Because instead of it, Brubaker spends most of this issue showing us the team in action and that is what the second issue needed to be. The first issue was spent introducing us to our cast.     Yeah, after reading these first couple issues I have to say that the Secret Avengers is THE BEST of the Avengers titles!  The Avengers Academy is actually not half bad either, if you find it neccesary to pick up another (which surprised me).  The covert opps team is a really cool concept.  Having Moon Knight on the team is a big plus and having Nova hit the big time is something I've been waiting for.  I will admit though that the Beast, Valkrie, War Machine, and Ant-man seem like an odd bunch o...

    The team's first mission continues here, with a fair amount of inrigue and a bit of betrayal.  Sharon Carter is awake after being attacked in the previous issue and she is set on discovering who has attacked her and where they have gone.  Meanwhile on Mars the team finds itself up against a number of unknowns - Nova's whereabouts are uncertain, what was being mined is in question and the presence of unknown carvings only adds to more confusion.  This issue carries on the what the first issue est...
