When we last left our heroes I was a happy man, satisfied but not ecstatic about the new squad of Avengers that Steve Rogers has decided to keep secret. Since then, I have had the opportunity to meet the lovely writer of Secret Avengers, Ed Brubaker. When I met him I complemented him on his X-Men run and said I loved it, to which he said "So you're the one guy!" A little more quick convo ensued and he promised me that if I liked that, then I'll love what he has in store for the Secret Avengers. ...

We start this issue with Sharon Carter waking up from her attack that happened in the last issue  by the people that stole the Serpent Crown and finds out they were using S.H.I.E.L.D stealth gear and decides to follow them.Then we see our team on Mars checking out the mining base,they find the corpses of the workers and they get attacked by members of the Shadow Council.After the fight they find out that those guys eyes are shot with black ink and they seemed controlled since they didn't help ea...

Plot & Action: Sharon Carter hunts down the Nick Fury faction while the Secret Avengers hunt for Nova and clues as to what's going on with Mars. It doesn't sound like a whole lot happened aside from pushing our characters to different locations. Issue three's set up for more action and progression, but I felt like Ed Brubaker could've given us some more plot development here. Character Work: I've gone through this book a few times and honestly, no characters seem to stand out to me. I mean, ...
