SuperDoahBoy

Just finished reading issue #6 of Nighthawk and now I'm even more bummed that it was cancelled.

@kairan1979: ^LMAO!

What about Shadowcat for their search and rescue?

And agreed on this not being an ideal "job" for Luke Cage.

In my opinion, I would have to say no.

He does have the same ability as the Hulk, getting bigger/stronger as he gets madder, but if I'm not mistaken the key to making someone a hulk is gamma energy. I could be wrong but all of the hulk characters I know (very few) powers seemed to be tied to gamma energy somehow, which doesn't seem to be the case with Rage.

Blood Syndicate - Rival gang bangers that gained abilities from the "Big Bang", afterwards they came together to form their own gang but not to continue their criminal ways. Instead they use their abilities to shut down crack houses and try to better their community.

@firestormnuclerman: I agree that he is one of the many underexposed heroes out there that ends up with them being underrated.

@t_j__magnum: From what I heard, Night Thrasher had the Punisher beat at hand to hand and the only reason Punisher eventually won was cause he used a weapon. I know there are no real rules to comic book fights but in my opinion it seems like a bit of a hollow victory. Kinda like when heel wrestlers use a foreign object when the ref is distracted to get the win, yeah he won but all that really proves is he was unable to do it cleanly.

@jointron33: Judging off of how they handled Static, I'm all but convinced that DC is unable to handle any Milestone characters. But I would love to be proven wrong.

I do agree that a good starting point would be to develop his rouge gallery, and instead of just retelling his origin a better idea would be to acknowledge his time in Milestone's Dakota.

Agreed, some other things that kinda bothered me is the origin section too. (I'll admit I just may be nitpicking)

'In the Dakotaverse, an alien craft had malfunctioned and fired an escape pod towards Earth containing a baby named Arnus.'

If I'm not mistaken, he wasn't turned into a baby until after his ship landed and reconstructed his DNA.

'Arnus grew up working with Miriam but discovered in adulthood that he had stopped aging and had superpowers.'

He actually discovered his superpowers while he was still a slave and used his abilities to secretly lighten the load for other slaves and help with the Underground Railroad. Slavery was abolished when he was 15.

@glforhire: I totally agree with everything you said. All the current, notable actors that could do the role of Icon justice is just too old, but I've always been a fan of lesser to unknown actors taking on the role superhero/comic book characters.

Even before Man of Steel a lot of people just seem intent on labeling Icon as a Superman rip off cause of their similarities, which is nothing more than a misguided comparison.

I've had the same idea of a Milestone/Dakota-verse movie franchise by starting out with a Static movie and introducing other Milestone characters in that movie which in turn will make it easier to get their solo movie off the ground.

@jointron33: I honestly feel that DC is incapable of handling any of Milestone's characters.

I'd be down for a redesign of Icon especially if it's part of reintroducing him, but that doesn't mean I hate his current costume. I really liked the design of the cape cause it felt original to me, and I also really like the gold bands and the design of his gloves and boots.

@vance_astro: I like Mr. Terrific cause he's definitely not your (stereo)typical black hero. His origin and his whole "aptitude for aptitude" ability hasn't been done to death. Plus he has the potential to be a solid solo hero while still also being able to work with a team and be a asset on multiple levels.

@speedlgt: First off in my opinion Mr. Terrific is smarter than Batman, cause I'm sure that some would agree that Bruce being a genius is nothing more than just one of the many things that make up his plot armor and you implying that Batman is the only one that can claim the role of "super smart hero" kinda makes me feel sorry for you for being blinded by that propaganda. The T-Spheres are one of the greatest gadgets in the DC universe and Mr. Terrific can legitimately say that he created those all by himself, while majority of Batman's gadgets are things either his company or more specifically Lucias Fox created.

Mr. Terrific and many other heroes will never matter as long as writers continue to deny them the same amount of effort they put into heroes like the almighty Batman. For instance he seems like just another "super smart hero" cause his genius intellect is the only thing writers care to showcase about him.

@blackair9: Agreed
