I like his new costume. While I do prefer the blue over the Red for the stripe I do love how he has Batman's wrist gauntlets with the spikes for blocking swords and knives. It feels very much in place as something he carried over from his time as Batman. It makes perfect sense to me.
Also, if you look at his new costume, it looks more armored (less like a skin suit) and darker then his previous ones, even the color changes from light blue to bright red implies how he has gone through alot and he and his costume are more mature and battle ready then what he originally had and was.
Well said. I like it when the suits has some armouring to it (not a lot, he IS the acrobatic). And I LOVE the gauntlets when the showed up (finally!). My big problem is the red eyes, it looks too menacing for Dick (he's too nice, lol, I think it would suit Damian better).
But for animated, I like the YJ one the best. It's a bit bulky for NW, and the ensign is a bit small, but you can really see the connections with Bats, Tim and Babs when they are in a scene together. The Red Hood one has almost too much blue for me.
@JamesKM716: Now that I think of it, it might be that nobody dies. "Death of the Family" can imply that everyone turns against each other. Perhaps some of the team takes actions against the Joker that Bruce finds unacceptable, so he cuts them out of his life? I would prefer that to the death of Alfred. I love that old guy
That's what I was thinking - infighting in the Family. I'm leaning towards the two hotheads killing/attempting to kill somebody in retaliation (though that's basic and been done). Or maybe its Bats who goes a little crazy, and the Family betrays him somehow (maybe to Gordon?) We saw the pregnant Mrs.Todd, perhaps that connects?
If Alfred dies I might cry... who doesn't love Alfred?
Hmmm... other than Alfred, what are integral parts of the Family? What defines it? Gotham? Tragedy? Humanity (no superpowers here)?
1. PLEASE give us a viable Robin (I know he wasn't a big character in the games, but we really need one). Someone mentioned this a while back, but tell the story from Robin's perspective - jump right into the dynamic duo, splice the origin here and there. I find it very sad the farthest we've ever really got in TV/film was Nightwing, Barbara and a Jason-Tim combo in TAS and RH + NW in the Red Hood movie). Batman has one of the best supporting casts out there, and it's barely been touched.
2. Avoid Bale villains (too recent, we want to move in a new direction and establish a "comicish" feel). Mr.Freeze was cool (...sorry..) in the city with the different tactics, Riddler was respectable, a Clayface/Strange duo might be really interesting (think of all the nasty schemes Hugo could pull off with a little shape-shifting).
@britsera: That sounds like a really cool idea. The problem? They would probably contradict the whole list in 3 months.
Yep, probably (hence the need to edit it on a week to week basis). They rushed the reboot too quickly, imho, things like this need to be planned meticulously.
I think he'd cause havoc for a while, realize how boring life was now without Bats (even if the Robins stepped up). I think it might be the one crime he might feel bad about later.
