@mextli: Fight until the last man! I've seen Namor fight Rulk underwater and still he didn't really hurt the guy. I know that he's a powerful brawler, but his strength drops a few notches when he leaves the water, yes?

Rulk is capable of jumping a mile or two right? Knocking him off the building wouldn't really keep him from just leaping back up a few seconds later.

@Rabbitearsblog: @Steps: @butterflykyss:

I've been doing some thinking as to why Colossus is always in his armored form. I first thought that perhaps it made him more resistant to the things that Cain was weak against: magic and telepaths. However, I want to say it has to do with him having control over the impulses Cyttorak can project. Sinister gaining control of his mind seemed to debunk that idea.

When Kitty was still floating in space Colossus visited Kurt in his chapel. He explained that things just seemed to hurt less while he was in his steel form. Perhaps being in this form buffers him from the brunt of these impulses?

Or he might just look cooler bald in his armored form as opposed to goofy in the flesh.

Thoughts?

@Super_SoldierXII: Mhm, I know you were giving a less than likely scenario. I read WWH a month or so ago and chuckled at how short of a distance Kurt was able to teleport him. WWH was so op'd it's not even funny.

Namor is the heavy hitter for that team and he couldn't damage Rulk even when they were underwater. I'm usually a pro X-men kind of guy, but I just can't see a way they can win this one. Rulk is just too much for them to take down. Plus he has that stupid ability to absorb most all types of energy. Who's to say he can't absorb Gambit or Storm's more powerful attacks?

@Super_SoldierXII: I think Nightcrawler can only teleport someone as big as hulk like 200 feet or so.

@Skaddix: I'm more familiar with Thor's strength level in the ultimate verse, but is he better skilled with magic than his 616 counterpart?

@Rabbitearsblog: I'm digging the split for the simple fact that more people are getting screen time. Magik, Colossus, and Kitty. Magneto has also taken a step into the background until the events of Schism. Who knows where it's going from here, but until then I'll be enjoying the story. Wolverine would never go to a space casino if they split up!

Also if Bobby and Kitty hook up Colossus is going to blow his stack!

I'd think if these were their current counter parts the X-men would have a shot, but 70's versions get punted.
