Their team page shows them as having appeared in The New Avengers #1, but I haven't gotten around to reading that issue yet (I really should.) It would be cool if they have a big part in dealing with that team. They don't have their own book though, to my knowledge.

Yeah, I was going to switch to buying trades of miniseries, and not the issues. I just can't wait a few months for stuff like Captain America or Avengers. Maybe I could just move some series I care a bit less about onto that list as well.

Ultimate Spider-Man is the only one I have played to completion, and I agree with you on most of the points you posted.

I'll also toss on my thoughts on another game:

Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage (for Genesis & SNES)
Strengths: You play as both Spider-Man and Venom in different levels, but mostly as Spider-Man. You can web sling and there are some wall crawling levels. Lots of Spider-Man villains and friends make appearances. Its mostly a beat-em-up, but its a pretty damn good beat-em-up. For the time, the animation and character sprites look nice.
Weakness: Like most old games, its HARD. You don't really feel like Spider-Man in combat, as you are mostly punching  and kicking. The web moves are nice, but you aren't very acrobatic. Web slinging is not particularly helpful. You can't choose to be Venom or Spider-Man, there are just some levels where you are one and some levels where you are the other. Its an old game, so there is not much plot, aside from a few comic styled story sequences. There is no voice acting at all.

Overall its a pretty good game. I played it a ton as a kid. Nothing compared to the new ones though.

Namor & the rest of the Invaders, or just Namor's friendship with Cap.

I just hope comic book universes take on the James Bond approach, Marvel included. Movies seem to always try to reboot once they lose an actor, and if you want to do a persisting universe you just need to recast roles and press on.

Spider-Man reboot, I'm looking sternly in your direction.

Current continuity.

@inferiorego:
I picked up the first issue expecting to be disappointed, but so far its been excellent. I figured it would be cheaply put together just to cash in on Iron Man 2. I actually like Black Widow's character, so thankfully that isn't the case.

I was disappointed they decided to changed the look of the character this much. That doesn't bother me as much as the loss of the original voice actor, who I thought did a great job. I do not dislike the new look or voice, however. I would just have preferred them to have kept the established character.

Seems to me they probably had trouble getting the original voice actor to come back, and used that as an excuse to change the character design. After that they just wrote it into the plot. Pretty lame.

The game itself still looks good, and I just hope the don't mess up the more important stuff.

 "whats the most overrated ________"
 "whats the most popular ________"

Two questions which people generally answer in exactly the same way.

I'd have liked both more if the Sentry didn't have such a lame costume.

TPB's off amazon for cheap to get caught up (seriously, I can rarely find USED trades for cheaper than amazon's new ones.) and then issue to issue on the ones I'm caught up with (I look for dollar back issues if I can, and they are in decent shape). I read everything I buy. I'm probably going to start getting mini-series stuff in trade unless it is collectible, because my pull list is getting too long.

If trades were not delayed and came out right when the last issue in it was released, I would probably just read trades and only pick up issues that I wanted to collect. They are more comfortable to read, don't have ads, and I like reading around five issues at a time.
