Triple-Iron is an assassin that wields a 3-piece rod as his weapon of choice and is hired by Harold Meachum to eliminate Iron Fist. Iron Fist would defeat an assassin named Scythe and he revealed that Harold Meachum was the one that hired him. Iron Fist would go to the skyscraper building owned by Meachum and travel to the twentieth floor where his office is located. Iron Fist would run a gauntlet of various booby traps and guards before reaching the room he thinks Meachum is in. However, Iron Fist is greeted by an imposing figure named Triple-Iron that wields a 3-piece rod. Triple-Iron reveals to Iron Fist that he has been a prisoner for nearly ten years and would be set free if he completed the task of killing him. He also states that he has learned so much during his ten years of his vigil. Iron Fist is struck by Triple-Iron's energy rod but keeps fighting on. Iron Fist realizes that the room laced with circuitry on the walls is the power source for Triple-Iron. During the fight a masked ninja throws a star-shape dart at the border of a hidden door where Iron Fist manages to break down before Triple-Iron can get to him. Iron Fist enters another room filled with an array of machines, electronics and various technology. Triple-Iron gives chase but Iron Fist strikes him with some live wires he pulled from a machine and short circuited his costume.
Triple-Iron was created by Doug Moench and Larry Hama in 1974 and first appeared in Marvel Premiere # 17.
Triple-Iron is later seen at the AIM Weapons Exposition on an island protected by international law. Captain America, Diamondback and Falcon disguise themselves as Crossbones, Mother Night and Jack O Lantern so they can infiltrate this expo in hopes of getting information on a criminal named Snapdragon. Batroc the Leaper arranged some pre-expo entertainment by testing the prowess of Crossbones who was actually Captain America in disguise. Man-Bull is one of over a hundred super felons in attendance. Batroc reveals to everyone that Crossbones was really Captain America and offered fifty thousand to the person that brings him down. All the hardened criminals including Triple-Iron rush the ring for a shot at the super soldier and a nice payout. During the fight, Triple-Iron tries to grab Captain America from behind but the super soldier picks him up and tosses him into a group of fellow bad guys.
