When I read how OA was destroyed I thought to myself: WHAT? YOU CAN'T DO THAT?! But I love these guys for doing it anyways. I am really liking the Lights Out arc so far and I love Relic. He is such a great villain, because he is so sympathetic.
This question is not fair, I could sit here for days without coming up with an answer. That being said, I ended up going with my gut-feeling: Arkham Asylum. For some reason, that graphic novel resonated with me much more than many of the other classics such as Year One, The Dark Knight Returns and The Killing Joke. It connected with me on an emotional and spiritual level, which I had never experienced before while reading a comic or graphic novel.
If Grant Morrison's whole run would have been listed I might have voted for that though. And I am happy in seeing Hush taking the lead. That was a close runner up for me too.
For some reason I'm still not completely hooked on Batman/Superman yet. The story is great and the art is magnificient, but somehow there seems to be something missing to really draw me in. Oh well, I'll probably picki up 4 and see if this one does the trick. Fourth time's the charm...
I am most excited about Rogues Rebellion. Bring it on!
