you all seem to be forgetting that many of Dantes higher profile kills are done with one shot from his standard pistols. he charges each round with demonic energy, enabling him to hit things even while they are phased, like Faust and mephisto. while in game you are limited to how much energy can be charged into a shot, during cut scenes its shown to be near limitless as he kills legit gods/devils with single rounds. any damage caused to MM may be regenerated, but Dante would see this and just disintegrate him harder with his huge variety of instant obliteration moves (pistol one shot, Pandoras light, pandoras rocket mode, any gauntlets aoe ground strike, devil trigger lightning/fire blasts, does distorted real impact count? ect). as far as durability, what in gods name makes anyone think a hand through the heart would even be worth noticing? yes, alastor stabbed him....but did u see the tsuba/handguard on that thing? Dante stood up through the blade AND the obnoxiously wide spiked-as-hell guard and was literally undamaged. he is susceptible to mental attacks tho, if only just to provide him with angst over w e troubles he doesn't talk about, but his resistance is notable as hes never shown too bent about anything for very long and he also kicked the shit out of an obscenely powerful psychic monster made specifically FOR HIM. given that, outright controlling him or having any drastic advantage via mental attack is out of the question via the raw power he has within. what happens is mm rushes in to finish him quick with standard "you'll probably die from this" attacks that obviously won't work, Dante laughs and counters with a quicksilver burst or some other beatdown, upon seeing mm recover he understands that he just has to kill him deader than he just did. with a pistol 1 shot that can kill despair embodied and erase its entire existence at once, mm loses via the same standard gear that u guys say is dante's weakness. its a good match, but given the cut scenes in every game and the existence of hell or hell mode its apparent that Dante doesn't even get touched by anything he fights outside of actual cut scenes with god-like beings. standard combat is straight up out of this, Dante is OP as hell...literally. MM's only shot is mental attack followed by near complete obliteration, all of which Dante can interrupt as he always does. Dante has too many unavoidable power moves, is literally untouchable if he wants to be even more so than MMs ability to phase (Dante can still touch him with bullets), and is very used to fighting other OP ghosts/demons/devils/gods/false gods/demonic people/other half demons. Dante even has time to make jokes. unless mm has an unforgiving one shot move idk about, he's exactly what Dante hunts and thus Dante wins without even breaking character. Its like gozer vs the ghost busters, gozer should kill them but its what they freakin do, he's literally their business so the puny humans win. Just replace puny humans with OP devil spawn that apparently exceeds his father, a demon stronger than the king of hell, and replace crossing beams with putting all his power into a bullet. Kenshiro is an awesome character, but he's only a peak human. Dante isnt even remotely human and casual building smasher in his weakest form, not to mention he hardly even notice being impaled. Lady only stood a chance because she had infinite grenades, in cut scenes she was laughable by comparison. Humans can't duel Dante, batman couldn't even beat him with prep time. He kills gods out of boredom lol mismatch

final answer, DC win via sun dipped superman, batman-assembled strike team, possible Godzilla assistance, that atom guy mentioned sounds pretty helpful but also is probably already on the strike force, green lanterns team, and no thanks to the teen titans, who decided to stick to regular criminals. This is not a hulk holocaust tho, it is a war and the superhero population is hit the hardest, possibly losing over half its members. Tho with gamma blood everywhere marvel can totally sue the shit outta DC for their next wave of young heros

Well thank u good sir, but beyond that I completely overlooked that these hulks are smart, but its unclear how long they stay blood lusted. It can't be too long or they'd go nuclear, and after a few days of wandering with nothing to pulverize no doubt they'd calm down. Intellectually speaking they would without a doubt be leaving the western continents. During the initial rush I'm sure a few would get out, but being seperated from backup they would be targeted and defeated relatively quickly by comparison to the mass. It Superman is allowed to infinite-mass-fly at them, I can't see anything hitting harder than never-ending mass and being near light speed its near impossible to dodge. It say there be a big green splat n I'd like to see hulk try n regenerate from a puddle. Regardless, to balance me forgetting that these 100 hulks are smart, I also forgot what happens to superman after 15 minutes in the sun :p factoring that, DC wins even faster....but batman still helped...kinda.. and didn't Godzilla invade DC in a comic once? I could swear I remember him n supes kick in it somewhere...if that wasn't the most awesome dream iv ever had the DC def wins cuz Godzilla EATS radiation, he'd be like super Godzilla in that game and bring on ragnarok. The DC hero's responding initially would be the justice league's standard powerhouses. Without the flash, it'd most likely be supes, WW, MM, and green lantern at its core. Them vs the initial 100 hulks while they're still generally at their most concentrated throughout the event. Batman most likely stays behind to bat research why were suddenly being hateraped by an army of gamma beasts, or if he does go then he escapes with firsthand experience via some slick plot device. I'm pretty sure his detective skills would pick up that he shouldn't get too close to the earth splitting death machines without knowing what they are. Regardless, the initial jla response gets utterly obliterated by the hundred hulks at once. The hulks rapidly spread across the country more or less unmatched. Their destruction isn't absolute as there are scattered survivors with definite shit stains in their shorts. Meanwhile, green lantern arrives cuz hes mot stupid and would leave before his ring ran and begins gatherimg the surviving american heros or delegating with foreign back up. batman they notices the trail of radiation and or blood or w e and figures out that Bruce banner once stole a library book back in college whenever that technically was. He knows this because he's batman, but also he deduces that they're radioactive gamma monsters. He begins hunting down a team and formulating a plot to specifically handle this threat. Also superman should be back about now given his super coma. Maybe wonder woman survived...idk too much about mom but if he made it then we is dead, its one or the other because the jla needs a dead friend to learn a lesson about their feelings or something. The us is lost, and there's unfortunately no time to even launch a full evacuation. Most of the remaining heroes are preoccupied with this as opposed to fighting the hulks cuz the military is def gonna nuke itself/the u.s.. the aftermath of the explosions are harder to determine. Regardless, it certainly fails to kill all the hulks and also catches a few heroes trying to save the last few stragglers. There's a limit to how bad we can blow up our planet, so the bombing wears down after a bit. Meanwhile, batmans strike squad is of course successful in disabling individual hulks cuz its led by batman. Other powerhouses no doubt develop their own method of systematically killing/disintegrating/w e individual hulks. Overall, the progress is too slow. Every barrier set up, like to mexico, is specifically targeted by the pissed off hulks in masses just for daring to defy their rage. North and south america are devastated. Now residing outside the Americas, superheros focus their efforts on preventing the hulks from crossing the oceans, in which they are successful. There is a period of time in which humanity must coexist with this continent of living murder, but a new class of superheros emerge: hulk slayers. Their purpose is simply as it sounds, and consists of professional groups, fan-favorite tag teams, or solo BA mofos with nothing to lose. Eventually, after years of dedicated genocide, DC heroes claimvictory after the loss of the western world. Also its really radioactive so the remaining countries are overcrowded which leads to mass starvation and millions die. End result: without googling it, im guessing earths population immediately after last hulks killed is likely a lil less than 75% cuz china is PACKED like I mean...PACKED. With people. Anyway, the census after including future indirect casualties via mass starvation, disease, radiation poisoning, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions for decades after the SUPER HUMAN WAR ON EARTH the population definitely decreases below the 50% line

Spawn was God once, this is a complete mismatch. Link can jump and shoot arrows at a guy who IS a machine gun. Or a tank. Or a dinosaur. Or God. No matter what agility and accuracy link has, which are his two primary traits in battle, he can't actually hurt spawn through his necrosuit. I mean, he can cut a hole with the master sword and stuff a bomb in there, but good luck getting that close to something that can be nothing but rapidly thrusting spikes if he so decides. This comes down to whether light arrows effect spawn or not. If they don't, spawn wins. If they do, considering they are made to defeat darkness, not only does link need to hit him at all, but he needs to hit him past the cape AND multiple times, as they couldn't just out n stop Gannon and spawn would turn him into porkchops. Hal can make chains across the entire planet, so he could very possibly 1 shot them. Since he can't, it'd still be possible. He could waste one charge making the world a very unsafe place to be via triggering natural disasters and drill-punching holes in the planet, conserving energy overall then spend the other ther two charges running a series of cost effective killing-factories with himself as bait. Like a xenomorph concentration camp. Ik, that was in bad taste but that's the literal image I have in my head. Its terrible, acids everywhere and he has to wear an air bubble cuz of the burning fumes of 3 billion bodies...overall it just depends on population density. Which now that I think of it would fill a country. In 3 charges altogether? Giant lawnmower.

I just saw a naruto vs goku thread where naruto won, and the only guy who supported goku said he had to so ssj2 to beat him. I'm...still shaking. I think I need a hug. And no, stop with the superman vs goku. Peak superman has at least system busting resistance and gogeta-style dimension busting punches, while I believe if ssj3 goku put everything in one shot from full power he would destroy a whole star...that's it, he's out of juice. Supes is still there. Wait for the new movies/hopefully series to come out before we kicking that dead horse some more. Anyway, Brolly is a Main level threat, definitely. Cell was only devastating cuz he could regenerate, and goku blew him in half not long after Broly, so Broly had to be tougher. Majin Buu and Broly are multi-system busters with the stamina to wipe out galaxies over time, both of which are stronger than majin vegeta alone, who couldn't beat buu. In fact, his suicide blast didn't even destroy the planet

The problem is that people are arguing the wrong hulk for the thread. If you want "hulk vs superman" then Superman wins. Period. If you want the hulk to beat superman, make a thread called "superman vs hulk who's mad enough to beat superman" and then hulk will still lose because superman has retarted levels of endurance and can't actually he physically dismembered, allowing him to inevitably wake up, get a tan in the core of the sun, then literally walk a burning man-shaped hole through the un-amped thing. No matter what, the thread won't be fair unless hulks already powered up. Superman threads have literally no point until that new dbz series comes out and elaborates wtf a super saiyan god can actually do
