A lot of theories are being thrown around here but i think it is occam's razor. What we saw in zero year is too close to the joker origins to be anything else. I don't think however that Snyder is done telling joker's story yet. We are going to see joker rise throughout the future arcs even if he is not the main focus of the story.

@bunkitz: One gadget that Batman tends to drop immediately is smoke bomb. Can't hit what you can't see especially considering it is at night.

I would like to address some points that people are making.

1. Regarding the animation. There is a difference between art style and animation itself. I dabled in animation a bit and I can see for a fact that this show is not cheap. Lighting, tracking shots, long takes and the animation themselves. All of these things are something you can see in big budget animation films. The art style is not much different from GLAS and people loved that show.

2. I absolutely love the detective work. Honestly was surprised by how good it was. Truly takes Batman to his roots. He is a detective first and foremost, fighting is just a tool. Though I admit there is not much consistency - cut through ninjas like they're nothing and then struggle against weaker foes. I say give them time.

3. I can clearly see them setting up the League of Assassins and that energy project as S1 narrative. I think we are going to see Ra's

4. I do not want them to bring Barbara in as Batgirl. That is just too predictable. I say keep it fresh and leave her alone. Batman + Katana seems like a much more badass teamup.

Overall give them time guys. No show is perfect in season 1. Allow them the opportunity to learn. Not every show can have a Bruce Timm

Kinda reminds me of Iron Man 3 teaser - bad guy talking and then stuff blows up at the end. The storyline doesn't sound very interesting either except for that 'one man WMD' quote which I'm still trying to figure out. Despite all that I'm still gonna watch it ... J.J. Abrams you have my £10 sir

I am a big DC reader but recently started trying different Marvel comics. I really enjoyed the Uncanny X-Force because of the roster - I loved Fantomex, Deadpool and Wolverine working as a team.

I am so not sure about this new set up especially Storm. She always seemed like a very strong good character with no dodgy dark past like others. And again - no more Wolverine, Deadpool and Fantomex???

PS I picked up Uncanny X-Force because it had Wolverine and was much darker than other titles.
