Between this and Age of Apocalypse, Cyclops really get the short end of the stick when it comes to hair styles in alternate futures/timelines.

Cable as Captain America and Cyclops as Cable? Hmm.

I was getting more of a Nick Fury vibe from Cap

The eye patch is certainly on the right eye for Fury, though it wouldn't be the first time an artist simply switched Cable's eye. It also wouldn't be the first time Cable wielded Cap's shield.

Interesting. I just thought it was Steve Rogers minus one eye.

@bsavelli: Thanks for posting the art. I couldn't figure out the exact scene from DKR it reminded me of. It is interesting how much that looks like the same pose from a different angle. I'm not complaining. I think it's a great cover.

Why would Cyclops, of all people, need a gun? And aiming with his right hand must be a pain with no right eye.

Comment/Question for James regarding Earth 2 # 9...

First, I loved the issue.

Second, those World Army guys are real bastards. Atom smashes a giant hole through Ms. Garrick's house and Dodds uses her as a pawn against her son, The Flash, by putting a gun to her head.

I get wanting to get the jump on The Flash, but that was one sloppy ambush. Who's going to pay for the physical damage to Ms. Garrick's house? Not to mention the years of therapy to deal with the emotional damage of having a gun to her head after a giant fist crashes through her house? John Q. Earth-2 Taxpayer?

I'm actually excited for these. They sound different, and that's just what I want at the moment.

My thoughts exactly. Color me intrigued.

BATMAN #20's cover has a Frank Miller vibe about it (Batman's chin maybe?) LOVE IT!

I had the same reaction. It's looks very Dark Knight Returns-esque. I think it's Batman's pose.

Red Lanterns is like the Nickelback of comics. It's critically reviled, few will admit to being a fan, yet it sells very well.

Sweep his leg while wearing Kryptonite shoes. A Superman who cannot walk cannot fight.
