i think this argument is played out. the movie showed Hulk as being physically the strongest. he has absolutely no versatility and almost cost the lives of a ton of people on the helicarrier. like it or not thor did hold back. this was obvious. when he did unleash his powers he killed more of the incoming alien force at one time than anyone else did during the whole movie. it was an incredibly lethal move.

if they armwrestled Hulk would likely win... but if they each went all out Hulk would be defeated. way too many powers on top of being very close to as strong. hulk being shot by the small alien soldiers on their space-chariots stopped him in his tracks. thors lightning would have KOed him if not killed him.

the poll got this one right. except cap should have no votes and wolverine should be tied with sabretooth.... then it would be perfect.

Juggernaut for one.

Surfer creamed him with relative ease so I don't know why folks are stating Champion beat the surfer.

Round two, I really don't know. Trion Juggs as powerful as one wielding the power gem ... have no idea.

Round three, I'd have to say Colossonaut unless morals get in the way. Regular old Champion ain't all that impressive. Piotr was taking it to Red Hulk pretty severely before giving up.

not accurate.

The Thing stated after his fight with champion that WITHOUT his gem he still hit harder than the surfer or the hulk. also the Champion defeated the surfer the second time they fought... he did it on the planet Skardon... Champion challenged anyone in the universe... and this is where he beat Drax the Destroyer, Adam Warlock, Gamora, Gladiator, Beta Ray Bill (and again... the surfer).

the first time they fought surfer won but he did not have the gem yet and he only won because he harnessed the power cosmic and hit Champion with it.

Strength:Thor

Speed:Thor, Wonder Woman has better reflexes though

Durability:Thor

Intellect:Wonder Woman

Fighting Ability:Wonder Woman

Weaponry:Thor

Thor 4/6

jeanroygrant's take on this is pretty damn accurate.

Strength: Thor - His strength is uncapped and has many unquantified feats. Not sure what feats Diana has that would indicate she is stronger.

Speed: Thor - He has faster flight speed, has displayed FTL reflexes, and FTL perception. Diana may have faster reflexes ...

Durability: Thor - He's simply one of the most durable heroes in comics and has far too many feats to back this.

Intellect: Argueable - Thor has shown wisdom to surpass Odin during Ragnarok. Enough to be offered a place among the Gods of Gods.

It could be said that "Those Who Sit Above In Shadow" would be of a higher plane of existence than even Athena and all her wisdom.

Many forget that Donald Blake is a brilliant surgeon. Dr. Strange requested Thor's aid because Thor's intelligence and skill in the medical field had no equal ...

with the exception of perhaps, Strange himself. Back in the day - Classic Thor has quite a few feats of intellect, on or off the field of battle, along those lines.

He is also a brilliant strategist in war. Yet he is written inconsistantly. Often he is portrayed as a barbarian whose pride and lust for battle, cloud his judgement.

So I give the edge to Diana only for that reason.

Fighting Ability: Both are warriors born and this is very close. Yet I know of more instances where Thor has displayed skill while depowered than Diana has.

This is more telling in my opinion - Because each are so powerful, it is rare that they have to rely on such skill.

Yet Thor has defeated opponents armed and unarmed while mortal, such as;

Numerous highly trained soldiers, swordsman, hordes of undead, armed thugs - while carrying on a casual conversation with someone else -

and not appearing to notice or even having to look in their direction, a Grizzly Bear with his bare hands, and even defeated Asgardian Trolls,

as well as crushing powerful beings such as "Grog the Godslayer" while Thor was stripped of his power and using only his skill and bare hands.

For this reason I could call it a draw ... yet once again Diana is more consistantly regarded as a great H2H fighter. DC stresses this more as a part of her character.

Thor is written to display either incredible fighting skill or resort to a form of brawling ... depending on who his opponent is and how it fits the story.

Weaponry: As impressive as WW's arsenal is, I have to go with Mjolnir. It is simply, far and away, more versatile.

overall... i think this is good. i was getting aggravated by everyone saying thor was dumb. also i especially agree about Durability.

Couldnt Goku do the same thing Silver Surfer did?

goku wouldn't know Galactus or his weakness. and it definitely is his MO to shoot energy balls at his enemies... not fly inside of him and seemingly press self-destruct. surfer knew exactly what to do because he was Galactus' herald. Goku wouldn't know that and so he wouldn't be effective as an opponent. At least IMO

Shaw also absorbs physical damage... if thor or hulk hit him he would tank it AND absorb that power. he would be able to then use that same amount of power plus what he has stored to punch him back. and since he has two nukes when the fight starts... i don't see really how he can lose. which sucks because i hate him. lol

dont underrate The Champion. He is a five billion year old god who smashed beta ray bill, adam warlock and the silver surfer. He has also destroyed multiple planets. one that was lifeless and one just as collateral damage in a fight with Thanos. (Thanos that destroyed the Avengers like they were children when they first fought)

I think he did most of that with the gem though, but yes he is good.

yeah and Juggernaut is only at his power level because of the gem of cytorrak.
