@erkan12: Jar'kai is simply a dual blade variant of Niman and seeing as he's favoured weapon was the double bladed lightsaber I don't think he'd use Jar'kai. Dun moch, from what I remember, doesn't apply as a lightsaber form.

@i_like_swords: Fair enough, but yet he was unable to overpower Anakin on the Invisible Hand? And I do remember seeing some scans of Vader beating Maul I just can't remember where this was or where those scans are.

By the way, it would be fair to point out that my Star Wars knowledge is pretty limited in which I haven't read any Star Wars stuff in quite a long time so my mind is pretty rusty on this subject so feel free to school me guys.

Not sure if this has any effect on people's current opinions but I do remember reading that Vader did develop a fighting style that encompassed several lightsaber forms to neutralise his mobility weakness and still make him strong. From the top of my head, I think Vader only ever lost battles (not counting Luke) due to being subjected to either arrogance or underestimation - with the prime example being against Starkiller. From what I've read from previous posters is that Vader was far more concerned in converting his son to the dark side than killing him which would damage his hopes of ever overthrowing the Emperor. When he referred to Leia during the battle against Luke, for me I saw that more of an application of Dun Moch than Vader seeing Leia as an alternative option to Luke.

And what @erkan12 quoted kind of confirms my initial thoughts.

Looking at it from another perspective, Vader was well trained in nearly all lightsaber forms whilst Dooku was only a master of Makashi and Maul only a master of Juyo. Plus, I'm sure it's been referenced/quoted before that Luke copied/mimiced Vader's lightsaber form or had the ability to during their final battle, couldn't he just apply that with either Maul or Dooku? And wasn't there a comic story in which Vader defeated Maul, although he did damage himself in doing so (however I think that was a vision). I still believe Team 1 would take a slight majority of the wins but it would be close.

P.s. I long for the day in which they will do a "what-if" story in comics if Anakin had reached his full potential and never suffered the defeat/injuries in Mustafar...

If it was rots Anakin and rots Luke vs Dooku and Maul then I'd be more favoured to team 1, but Vader who lost almost half of his midi chlorians as well as most of his physical body therefore compromising his lightsaber skill would give a greater advanatge to team 2. Hmm...

I regret picking up this series from the start because now I'll feel wrong if I don't get the final 2 issues which are taking an eternity to be released, but then again I have been loving the series thoroughly - there lies my dilemma.

The only runs that, in my opinion, come close to in quality/my taste to Unchained is Pak's run in Action Comics, Diggle's 3 issue run on Action Comics (lol) and Morrison's run on Action Comics - haven't read John's Superman yet so I can't really give my 2 cents there.

I think it is and will become a great series, once all the issues come out and then the series is published on tradeback where Superman-fans and other comic book fans can really read through and enjoy the flow of the story without these constant lengthy interruptions. I have to admit, apart from the average art from Jim Lee (by his standard) as well as his delays, I can't understand the hate for this series. I guess I'll put it down to different tastes.

BTW the changes are not gonna be short lived, but rather last for years... and they also stated that NO amount of negative reaction from the fans is gonna stop them.

Does Marvel WANT to lose Thor-fans on purpose? Because if so, they're doing a stellar job.

@lvenger: I'm not jumping the gun and stating outright that this story will be poor - what the critic point is is in the concept itself, not in whether the story will be good or not. I think quite a few people are getting confused over that point. But as I said previously, I won't give my full verdict of this Marvel editorial/director's decision until the first one or two issues have made an appearance, however when you take things as they currently are it doesn't look that good, especially for Thor-fans.

@the_tree: thanks for the update, I lost complete interest on the Superboy title when Lobdell was writing it.
