I have to admit, I loved the entire two episodes until the final fight between Korra and Zaheer - for me it didn't have the same emotional and eye-candy effect that the Aang Vs. Ozai battle did. Those that said that Korra was winning the battle, I don't think so, Zaheer caught Korra out more often than Korra managed to catch him out, granted she was poisoned but she was in the Avatar state. Using the fact that Zaheer could fly as an unfair advantage as an excuse I disagree with - Zaheer achieving that is a feat for him. I still can't get my head around how such a relatively new airbender could be so darn good....I really wished the writers did a better job at clearing that out. But Book 3 was definitely a major improvement on the first two books, I actually find Korra to be a likeable character for once.
When comparing the two, we have to always take into consideration that Aang had to learn the other 3 types of bending in a relatively short amount of time by comparison to other Avatars whilst also having to fight a recognised master at fire-bending (Ozai) at mere age of 12 (or 112 for all those technical people). What Aang pulled off, in my eyes, still supersedes most of what Korra has done. This is also counting that Aang was the first Avatar to learn energy bending...and I haven't seen Korra use it yet (apart from that time when she gave Lin her powers but I'm not sure if that was the Avatar state or her using energy bending).
Oh, and isn't Iroh just awesome. I loved him in the A:TLA and I still loved him in LoK :')
Note: I do have to admit that I am a big fan of Aang and everything he stood for and achieved, as both an Avatar and an individual, so my opinion will definitely be a bit biased. I'd still LOVE to see a miniseries about the old Avatar cast when they were older. *sigh*
