Not if you are a Superman fan that's for sure, every JL story seems to have some contrived reason for Superman to only have minimal impact and involvement in the story.

Depending on how they play this after March I could be done with wasting my money on AC, Superman, SM/WW and SM/BM. I have really enjoyed Adventures of Superman though.

I think I would prefer it if they just hadn't included Superman in this JL story arc (and a lot of the others), his role is just so mediocre, and I have been waiting for SM/WW to be done with quickly but that was weak.

@azza04: It's not in any collected editions I'm aware of. Secondly I cannot say I've read it either, probably one of the standard "Superman trusts Batman with the only thing that can stop/kill him" kind of plots based on the cover.

Thanks. That's what I assumed it would be as well, but Mark Miller is credited as one of the writers so I was interested to see if anyone had read it. If it was anything special I'm sure it would have been collected.

I re-read this run not to long ago. I really liked the story but the inconsistencies in the artwork really grated on me as usual. As Superman he's drawn tall and muscular but as Clark Kent he has a completely different build, no bigger than joe average in the street. I don't know why it stands out so much to me but I don't like it.

Ι really would pay for the story again, if it was for the art to be redone by a sole artist.

I would 100 % buy it again if they re-did it, I would be happy with any of these guys, Ed Benes, Jason Fabok, Shane Davis, Gary Frank, Jim Lee or Kenneth Rockafort. In some scenes Clark is standing next to his land landy and doesn't look any bigger than her, he looks like Peter Parker in high school, then in another scene he looks like a 6' 3 linebacker.

Shouldn't that actually be a good thing though?

Generally speaking everyone who knows Kal is Clark says something like "He raises his voice two octaves, slouches, and buys suits two sizes to big, and everyone buys it." Clark and Kal shouldn't look physically the same, because Kal doesn't intend for Clark and Superman to look similar in build.

Also, I could swear the language is just called Kryptonian. Not Kryptonese.

Sure it would be good but how does he make himself shrink down from a 6'3 200+lb guy one minute to a 5'10, 155lb nobody in the next. I know it's a fictional story and everything but it doesn't even make sense in the confines of the fictional world. It happens quite often in Superman books. The Earth-One graphic novels are really bad with this, particularly volume 3.
