I'm not much into Marvel. Tried getting into this book what with the whole Heroic Age Hype going around, but not only does Romita Jr's art is not of my liking, but the story itself was a bit unimportant.

And the Hulk-look-a-like on the last page? That's the villain? LAME-O!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!! Namor's getting his own... wait... Vampires?! ...and Mutants? and I have to read X Men 1 to get into this title?!?!..hmmm.... maybe I'll save my enthusiasm for after I've read the first Issue...
Well, If Aquaman ain't getting his own title, at least the Monarch of the Deep is!

Still, with all the Brightest Day hype going around I was ALMOST willing to give this book a chance, but if what Zack says is true and this book is totally or partially inaccesible, then I think I'll pass.
And as much as I know there are hundreds of LSH fans out there, I must ask: what is up with showcasing the Legion SO friggin' much?!?! They have their own title fine, but they'll also star in Adventure Comics and soon in a Superman/Batman arc? That's just WAY too much legion for me! LSH fans enjoy, cuz theres still much more to come (unfurtunately for us Legion haters!!!)
I can only say that Robinson SUCKS. His lackluster run on the superman title and his pointless 12-parter "World of new Krypton" arc is further proof of that. He doesn't really seem to get DC. He's all about the cliff-hangers and nothing about actually delivering.
I see Robinson's name on a cover, and RUN away from the book. But hey, that's just me!
I loved it!!! Gail promised and she deliverd!!! BIG TIME! Never read the original series but I'm totally sold on this one... Even though i HATE Hawk and Dove!!!
Hope she can make them more likeable... this issue was a good start at that!
