    Origin

A figure who's identity surrounded in mystery and having the body of Goku, Black seeks to eradicate humanity, which he faults as the "greatest mistake of the Gods". He claims to have destroyed many civilizations, and arrived in Future Trunk's timeline to continue destroy humanity, in which he killed Future Bulma.

When Trunks escaped Black via his time machine, Black was able to follow him through a hole in space with the Ring of Time. It was there that he met the real Goku and fought him before being pulled back to his own time. He destroyed Trunks' time machine before he left, stranding his enemy in the past.

    Creation

Black first appeared in the Dragon Ball Super anime episode 47: SOS From the Future! A New Black Enemy Appears!!

Black first appeared on the cover of the August 2016 issue of V Jump. He made a cameo appearance in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 14 (V Jump September 2016) while mostly cloaked in shadow attacking Trunks before the final big reveal (much like the anime).
