When a mystery as old as Gotham City itself surfaces, Batman assembles a team of his greatest detectives – including Red Robin, Owlman, I-Ching and others – to investigate this startling new enigma. As clues are discovered and the mystery deepens, Batman's team soon finds itself on a journey that explores different eras in Gotham's history and touches upon notable Gotham families including the Waynes, Kanes, and Elliots. This miniseries spins out of recent events in the Batman titles and sets the stage for several exciting storylines in 2011. Additionally, this limited series touches upon mysterious story elements introduced in Grant Morrison's RETURN OF BRUCE WAYNE. Featuring many exciting Batman Family guest stars!

Batman: Gates of Gotham begins in 1881 Gotham City. Three men, one of them is Alan Wayne, are discussing about a man who is currently working on the Wayne Bridge. The three men Edward, Theodore, and Alan Wayne meet with Mr. Nicholas Anders who shows him idea of the future of Gotham.

In the present Batman has been in search of 300 pounds of semtex. He interrogates a criminal named Ronnie who admits that Oswald Cobblepot is involved. Then the New Trigate Bridge blows up, then Dick learns it wasn't just the Trigate, but the 22nd and Madison bridges also blew up simultaneously. Batman then interrogates The Penguin to find out why he bought the Semtex, and who really is behind the bombing of the bridges.

Dick returns to the Bat-bunker to be amazed on how well Gotham has gone back to normal. Then Tim surprises Dick by bringing Cassandra Cain who was supposed to be Tracking the Semtex. They figure out the bridges were originally named after the people who financed them. Alan Wayne is behind the New Trigate, then they figured out the 22nd bridge was financed by the Elliots.

At Arkham Asylum, Tommy Elliot is approached by a man in a steam-punkish costume.

What are the Secrets of Gotham City? 0

Time to explore the past of Gotham City and some of its most prominent and notorious citiezens. The GoodWhen I first heard about this miniseries, I was both excited and skeptical. Skeptical even though Scott Snyder was involved. The series is diving into the past of Gotham City, Batman and several other characters in the Bat-universe. It sounds cool, right? The tricky part would be in the execution. Will any revelations here pay off or will they come across as a way to exploit the untapped histor...

Batman: Gates of Gotham #1 of 5. When I read that Cassandra Cain was gonna have a big part in this I HAD TO PICK IT UP!!! Now this is where her return is introduced properly. Okay so this issue opens up in Gotham City 1881 and Alan Wayne is planning with a man named Nicholas Andres to build an elegant, classy, and modernistic Gotham City to compete with Metropolis at that time. Also the construction of certain bridges are being made that lead to Gotham and out of Gotham. Back to present times Di...

    The Architects of Fate 0

A mysterious assailant has bombed the New Trigate bridges and it's up to the Batfamily to find out who and why. How does the history of Gotham's founding families relate to the tragic events of the present? Well that's exactly what Dick Grayson plans on finding out.  The Good I absolutely love this cover, everything about it is just so aesthetically pleasing. It reminds me of Grant Morrison's Gothic. The stained glass window with the various members of the Batfamily is an excellent touch and a r...
