I'd have to agree here.. while Venom has never been a particularly favorite character of mine - the symbiotes became way massively introduced - Eddie Brock was and is the only true Venom in my eyes. And while on the topic, I'd personally have to say I don't think of Eddie as a truly evil man. Misguided for sure, twisted by his own personal hatred for Spider-Man ruining his career and therefore his own life, mix that with bonding with symbiote freshly rejected and confused in it own right, and bam... the makings of a horror right there. Honestly preferred Venom during the Lethal Protector series.

why's everyone saying brock is dead the last storyline he was in was back in black and he was alive at the end of his arc

Eddie Brock Venom was the ish, but I like Mac Gargan for the minute, it lets out the suit's evil side alot more. I think the suit will make it's way back to Eddie in due time but what they should really do is bring Carnage back and have it bond with someone

Who thinks talking about Brock as Venom is old as hell?

Eddie Brock is going to be coming back within the "New Ways To Die" Arc which will also be featuring Mac Gargan (as Venom of course [for the time being]) and Norman Osborn, as well as the intro of a new symbiote (and host) "Anti-Venom". I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Yeah I've heard about this "Anti-Venom", I've also seen a pic somewhere aswell, looks pretty cool, just a white, tall skinny Venom =P Defintely gonna have to get those issues when thery're out

Damn! I thought I was the only one who liked Brock more than Gargan! Mac's a psychopath! I like the old Venom, back when he was a semi-good guy by choice!

also you can note that eddie could take large amounts of fire and sonics but scorpion was actually beaten by a newspaper on fire (sigh scorpion sucks as venom nuff said)

I think Eddie Brock was a sentimental favorite to many because he was the first true Venom. However, it was a good story idea to have him get cancer and since he was sick, this necessitated the symbiote to find another host.
I like the new Venom. McGargan's character has devolved a bit as venom, but I like the fact they took the character into new directions. Not sure he fits with the Thunderbolts though, Venom was never much of a team player. So I guess I am saying now, I don't think he should come back.

Brock as Anti-Venom is nice.  He thinks he is an instrument specially created by God himself.

Could everyone stop changing the main Venom pic to a pic of Brock Venom.
Mac Gargan is still Venom and will be for at least the rest of the year.

nah keep gargan unless anti venom and venom fuse and give Eddie control.

I think Eddie Brock should die and the Venom symbiote should either be contained for ever or sent back to where it came from in the first place.

Brock Should Come Back as Venom.

Brock should stay as Anti-Venom and Gargan should just die.

The Original Venom Symbiote should go to someone else.

ok seriously, does anyone actually die forever in comics? lets see: auntmay, maryjane, norman osborn, harry osborn, magneto, captain america, on and on and on. eddies not dead if marvel doesnt want him to be, and we all wouldnt be super shocked if he came back. i think it could be interesting if there was a story where eddie comes back and is super mad at gargan, and tries to kill him and take the symbiote back or w/e. that could be really sweet if done right

Ya he does, and I think it was due to the Venom symbiote, but don't quote me on that could be wrong. That's why I want to see Anti-Venom against Venom.

The one thing I am Soooooo F@%*ing sick of in comics is when they go back and undo some sort of change they made to a character almost immediatly because fanboys won't stop whining. Whenever some dramatic change occurs, I think it should stick! Even if its something you know they are eventually gonna sort out (like wolvie losing his adamantium), it's still WAY more effective as a plot device if it lasts for more then a year or so. Look,  when a character in his/her current state has just plain exhausted any and all good storylines, sometimes a shake up is a good thing. What do you want? Eddie bent on revenge, trying to kill spider-man over and over and when that gets stale make him the "anti-hero" for awhile again, until spider-man pisses him off again, now he wnats to eat his brain one more time? Ugh. It's been done. Don't get me wrong I LOVED Venom. Huge fan. But Eddie's day is done. Gargan is Venom now, they are writing new and original storylines based on that. Get over it.

they need to tear brocks body in to pieces, remove the soul destroy it some way tearing it in to a billion little pieces and burning the body and send his soul in to a billion different places thru out the different places in the universe in all of the multiverse as well as heaven and hell and perigtory in all the places in the multiverse as well so he could never possibly come back and we would never have to have this discussion again.
