Read various articles who theorize that Enchantress is the villain... but after some digging (I don't really know about her character too well, so looked up some wiki's)... if they were to adapt Enchantress' story on how she joins the SS, this plants the seed for Darkseid:

"[Enchantress] is next recruited into the newly formed 'Task Force X', soon to be known as the 'Suicide Squad', on the offer that they could keep her villainous side in check. In her first mission, she uses massive magical energy to defeat Brimstone, which sends her over the edge and she becomes temporarily truly villainous"

So who or what is Brimstone (another character I'm not really familiar with):

"Brimstone is a supervillain and artificial construct in the DC Universe.

Within the context of the stories, Brimstone is initially created by Darkseid as a part of his plot to turn the population of Earth against their superheroes. He does this by implanting a nuclear reactor with a "techno-seed" which modifies it to create the several story tall Brimstone. It is speculated by the heroes that that it is composed of superheated plasma.

Its initial rampage is ended by the Suicide Squad when Deadshot shoots out the creature's 'heart' "

Doesn't the damage (like the Humvee) look more 'melted' than anything else? And it would setup an intro to Darkseid? Hmmm...

Abrams actually explains the reasoning behind mimicking ANH, those interviews were out this past week. Its all intentional in a 'history repeats itself' theme... which Lucas himself did to a certain extent in the prequels, though not as blatant as TFA.

I agree that Abrams hides too much. Its the same crap he pulled in Star Trek 2. There's supplemental Star Trek comics for that film that actually explains away all the criticisms. I understand Abrams desire to keep the plot tight, but he winds it up too much. Combined with his penchant for unnecessary mystery, sometimes it backfires, depending on the audience. I believe in the camp that TFA isn't a 'lazy' movie, and the real plot and character developments will be revealed in VIII. I can understand why some people would be critical of it.

After all these years, I attempted to give the Prequels another fair chance and had to turn off AotC after the elevator scene with Anakin and Obi Wan... or is it George Lucas' intention that I laugh at the movie like its a bad b-film?

Even with all its criticisms and flaws, I like TFA a whole lot more than the Prequels.

Its all subjective anyway. Prequel fans are butt hurt that the Prequels get so much flak and just want to find something of their own to hate.

You made a mistake. That isn't Furious 7, its a still from Star Trek Beyond. That's Chris Pine on the left and Vin Diesel as a Ferengi. Makes sense Abrams would drop in a little BB8 easter egg since he did R2D2 before

I'm a Trek nerd who actually enjoys the first 2 'new' films... but this 3rd one looks pretty bad.

Every time Paramount decides that they should reign in the 'Trek' from Star Trek, you tend to get mediocre things like Star Trek Nemesis and the TV series Enterprise. Don't get me wrong, I actually like those things too, to a point, but there's definitely 'good Trek' and 'bad Trek'.

The other reality is that if you don't like any prior Trek, and only like this Trek, then it really hasn't made you a fan of Trek. You'll still dislike the old Trek. That doesn't help the franchise.

Will still see this, but expectations are at all time low here.

I have no idea how this fits into any X-movie continuity. Not that Fox or Singer ever cared about keeping film continuities anyway.

Duh, everyone knows the story of Bald Xavier. One day Charlie X was doing some science in his rural Kansas home, when he accidentally set fire to the house. Alerted to danger, young Apocalypse-Boy came to the rescue, using his super-breath to put out the flames. This unintentionally blew toxic smoke back into house, which led to Charlie losing all his hair! Angry over his maligned hairline, young Charles blames Apocalypse, declaring him to be his sworn enemy forever!

Yes yes...the DC / Marvel competition is heating up.

"Have an Asian girl play a Greek girl, huh Marvel?", quips WB, " Well chew on this: we just cast an Italian girl to play an Irish one. Boom!" Drops mic.

I kid... Sort of.

Too many ppl confusing WB Montreal with Rocksteady. WBM are known for making the lowest rated and worst Arkhamverse game in the series, and the only one they've done without Rocksteady. Hopefully they learned some things from being so maligned.

Even then, more DC games from Rocksteady is only exciting to people who just want more of the same. After 3 Arkham games, its time for something different and new. Arkham City is far superior to Arkham Knight on many levels.

Online shooters have become a genre of their own, so its a matter of recognizing that and asking yourself if you are that type of gamer. I know expectations were a bit higher with Battlefront, but at this point, complaining is about akin to a CoD fan claiming FO4 sucks
