I always thought of him as a combination of the two not a prefect one but a good enough one, because like Batman he was created by a tragic death that altered his whole psyche and transformed him into an avenger of justices, but like Superman hes a bright red and blue symbol for truth and justices balancing these amazing powers with his personal responsibilities.
Eh, Idk. I feel like those can describe a lot of heroes (minus the red and blue.)
Green Lanterns aren't supposed to totally protect their sectors like Superman does in Metropolis. I feel like they're the FBI of the Universe: they get called in when they're needed and aren't needed for every little bar fight.
I don't really have a problem with people who don't read comics (my girlfriend) asking questions. That's natural. I just hate when people make huge assumptions or pretend they know something.
