Holy shit; Wonder Woman's just been making out with everybody. I suppose DC's plans for making their female characters more "realistic" is just to turn them all into super whores; i.e. Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Starfire. And I guess the public is okay with that. The feminist don't bitch as long as they're not drawn to look attractive...ridiculous.

It's not as terrible as I thought it would look when I saw this article pop up. Honestly, though, I'm not a huge fan of Kenneth Rocafort's style. He uses digital coloring as a crutch, without it his art would be fairly innocuous and indistinct. But that's just me, I'm an old timer, I like my hard lines and flat coloring. Give me P. Craig Russell, Neal Adams and Brian Bolland any day over this super digital looking crap.

@tigerkaya: Really? How'd Fox get the rights? Was it because of that SIlver Surfer show? Or are they in some other Fox released media that I'm not aware of.

Honestly I don't think comic books "need" to be socially relevant. When it's an issue that's near and dear to the authors heart then it's a bit different and excusable, like Ditko and his objectivist/libertarian inspired stories and characters. But something like Dennis O'neal trying to tackle drug abuse and race relations just seems like an attempt at being topical. Don't get me wrong, I love O'neal, he's a legend, but those 70's socially relevant comics have not aged well.

But regardless of whether controversy in comics is pursued because of personal feelings or to boost sales it still violates the basic concept of super hero comics, which is a fantastic escape from reality; and the other major problem with tackling contemporary issues of social relevance in comics--and fantasy media in general for that matter--is that you're always going to end up alienating, at least, some percentage of your fan base.

Oh god, looks like Snyder's gonna ruin another classic super villains origin story. It's Mr. Freeze all over again! Btw, does anyone know if Joker's got his face back? That was the stupidest crap! Like, he was already a sinister character, turning him into fake leatherface was completely unnecessary.

That's cool, I guess; but, I mean, come on Whedon! I know you know what we all really want. Give us Vision and give us the Kree-Skrull war!

Yeah, I definitely am gonna pick this title up today. I'm really not a fan of Mark Millar, and lord knows I've tried; read both Wanted and Kick Ass because everyone told me they were so amazing, apparently I didn't see what they were seeing. I just feel like he's over hyped. But Frank Quitely is amazing, and I can't pass up anything he's worked on, even if it's for a mediocre writer.
