@mrdevil: Curious question... Was Thor also holding back when Hulk knocked him unconscious?

How the hell do you hold back your own durability?

He was asking him sarcastically i presume, there are 3 fights i can cite that literally show Thor stating himself he wont hold back against Hulk, in one of those fights he literally screams at him "I WILL KILL YOU!" and the outcome is no different then those supposed times where he was "holding back".

Even if we where to take that highly questionable scan from "hammer and sinew" that doesn't show any circumstances of the fight, Hulks powerset literally allows him to go from getting knocked out by other 100 tonners(maybe even less at his calmest levels) to tanking planet+ attacks. Hulks entire powerset is dependent on his emotional state, so yea in certain instances i believe Thor can outright kill Hulk with a single blow if he wanted to, but this is WWH with potential to go WBH.... he was tanking everything from continent busting to planet busting attacks with a smile and a bloody nose(and all that before he reached WBH levels), not some random unknown incarnations from some Thor book(which i am not sure if it is even canon).

If you're talking about the fight between Thor and Nul, in that fight Thor was extremely weakened by a fatal wound he sustained within the World Tree. That wound growing inside him until it killed him at the end of Fear Itself.

That's why he passed out right after sending Nul into out.

Now if you're talking about the fight where Thor was depowered then magically "regained" his power, we don't know if he was at full power. After all, even the cold water was affecting him to an extent. We all know this wouldn't happen to Thor at his regular power level.

There's so much low-balling and trolling from both sides that I lost any will to debate in this thread.

@alessandro_souzamarques: It had Odin on his knees, so what ? that bomb was specifically for them and to kill them, for all we know it would not have killed a different character like Thanos or Darkseid, and still with what Superman did we have a quantifiable feat which is measured, with Thor's feat its an unquantifiable feat so we cannot use it to measure durability, Thor also absorbed that bomb BEFORE it could detonate...just like what Supes did

It still shows how much punishment he can take regardless of the fact it's designed to kill them since it has enough power to kill Odin (and would have if wasn't for Thor absorbing it while standing at heart of the God Bomb). If he can take that kind of punishment then he should be able to take any other kind of punishment on this same level. The God Bomb's blast was going to engulf the entire Universe throughout time.

The anti-sun bomb being capable of destroying half a galaxy with its blastwould actually mean something if he took the blast from the bomb and absorbed it after the explosion happened. Instead, he absorbed the energy inside the bomb before it could explode. Absorbing the energy directly from the warhead is a lot different than absorbing it from the blast.

Superman's body was made to absorb solar energy, so the only thing that was unnatural for his body was the fact it was "anti sun" energy.

Thor also absorbed that bomb BEFORE it could detonate...just like what Supes did

Except he didn't. He absorbed it after it detonated.

Re-read my last comment. I edited in a few things before you replied.

@mrdevil: Lol and what are those scans for exactly ? those are cool and all so basically you used some of Thor's best scans you could find ? anyone can do that for a character including Superman's best feats etc...a black hole or supernova is way more powerful than the winds of a thousand worlds, which Superman has tanked plenty supernovas

Thor has tanked Godbuster bombs that were going to explode across the entire time-space killing every god that has or will ever exist. Planet buster bomb, Phoenix Force, Galactus, Killed more powerful gods. and you bring the Final Crisis feat.

That was really good feat when he tanked that bomb into his body yes, but it is an unquantifiable feat, we do not know how powerful that was in terms of megatons of force or whatever..and absorbing is inferior to the actual explosion, its not like the thing exploded and he tanked it, that would have been a better feat

Superman has a feat similar to this one and its quantifiable in terms of measurement of force, he absorbed the Mageddon Bomb which can vaporize half a Galaxy, see we have something to equate the feat with, which is he absorbed energy or anti-sunlight to vaporize half a Galaxy

Oh and Superman was smiling while doing this

Even Odin was on his knees dying from the God Bomb and praying for Thor to save him along with every other single god on the Universe.

Pretty sure that makes the feat much more impressive than absorbing the energy of a bomb said to be capable of destroying half a galaxy before it could detonate.

Thor also took a blast from Glory that contained the totality of his power before absorbing and sending it back to him.

Glory had the power of ten thousand of gods and was said to be equal to a full powered blood-lusted Odin.

The same Odin who destroys multiple galaxies as a side effect of his battles.

@alessandro_souzamarques: ya but Thor is morals on and he doesnt know who's in what suit

He would eventually find out who is Cap and Bucky and who is autopilot. It's not that hard to tell the difference. He has experience fighting drones after all. His morals won't matter once he figures which ones haven't people inside.

@alessandro_souzamarques: your acting like Killian is a pushover I get he's not as strong as Thor but with a normal suit like mark 6 or 7 tony would have beat Killian a lot easier. But Killian had a better healing factor than wolverine and was hotter than human torch

He's no pushover, but compared to Thor he's nothing special.

Still not nearly enough to tank Thor's hits, especially charged ones. Again, Thor was literally crushing Iron Man's forearms with his fingers.

Thor could one shot several of them with one of his real powerful lightnings like the one he used to explode a Leviathan along with whole squads of the Chitauri fleet. Same Leviathan that was unscratched from Tony's missiles and lasers.

@alessandro_souzamarques: those suits were prototypes and in the 3 hours of prep tony will improve them

I doubt he can magically make them from being wrecked by Killian to tanking hits from Thor(who isn't holding back) in 3 hours.

The only thing I can see Tony improving is maneuverability, but even then, he can't improve many of his suits in just 3 hours. He would also need to prep himself to face Hulk.

@killraven4334: those were completely new drones they were not like ironman suits even ironman was destroying those drones and when 40 suits and cap come after Thor he will lose

Killian was wrecking Tony's suits. You can send in as many suits as you want, they can't hurt Thor while he can one shot them. No people inside it = no holding back.

Not to mention those autopilot suits have terrible maneuverability.

@super_mod: He pretty much kicked the shit out of Iron man actually, stark tried everything including dropping the cage thingy on him yet Hulk got out without problems.

And captain isnt doing anything other then getting his head punched off

And After the cage thingy Hulk got punched to sleep by Iron man's suit, remember?

I explicitly state that IM could give cap an armor, how does anyone here punch a head off a Stark armor?Even without it, hulk is busy with veronica and thor does not have the speed to avoid steve from blocking every hit with his shield, that we know can block his hammer leaving cap harmless.

Let's try to use logic and actually read posts before countering them.

@panthers8901 i do what i can, this is actually a pretty good idea for a thread.

Hulk vs Hulkbuster could go either(only if IM has enough spare parts). Thor would obliterate any autopilot suit as he doesn't need to hold back against them. Remember how easily he was crushing IM's forearm with his fingers?

Cap and Bucky, even with those suits they can't hurt Thor just like Tony couldn't. Only Cap's shield has the slight chance of doing anything against Thor, but even with the suit backing him up he doesn't have the strength to do any lasting damage. Thor is actually faster than Cap and has far better reaction speed feats, so I don't see why he wouldn't be able to circumvent the shield. And while Cap and Bucky are better fighters, they don't have any experience with the suits.

Hulk can stalemate or even beat the Hulkbuster while Thor takes care of Cap and Bucky with ease.

I'm unsure of that star busting feat being a star busting feat. Do you have the entire scans of him flying into it and then said star blowing up or whatever?

I found the scan:

It seems it was some kind of machine that flew into the sun, though:
