The feelings mutual I assure you...Dante I've found and forgot has died to weak wounds like swords impaling him, Raiden has been impailed, burnt with hellfire, shot with magic attacks from Shinnok and tanked them all not died. The anime is indeed canon, out of respect for the topic and Dante I did research DMC fans all say it's canon on various message boards. Raiden has also been stabbed like such and never died from it much less effected. I'm just saying.You see dante above and here's well Raiden getting stabbed.
Right after that, Dante woke up and said someone did some mischief to him while he was taking a nap, then he pulled it out of his chest like nothing. The sword did nothing to him at all. Later in that video his entire body was cut open multiple times then impaled with dozens of spikes with zero effect.
