“DAWN OF TIME” part one! Chronos has spent his criminal career being defeated by Ray Palmer and the Justice League. But now he’s discovered a way to beat them: by traveling back in time to stop the concept of super heroes from ever coming to be, because a world without the Justice League is a world he can rule! How can the team follow him through the timestream to stop his mad plan?

Atom (Ray Palmer) is fighting Chronos in the the Microverse, while Preon and Yun Xee have been knocked to the side. Chronos injures Atom, prompting Atom to telepathically call Yun Xee for help, who blasts Chronos's mind allowing Atom to gain the upper hand. Defeated and at the Atom's mercy Chronos mocks him, saying he has seen "the Imprint." He then slips away into the timestream, leaving Atom with a threat against his very existence.

The rebuilding of Mount Justice is in full swing, though far from completed, when a member of the construction crew radio's Vixen with something interesting. The entire League heads down to the new subbasements being built to investigate and find a small crater with glowing purple lights. Inside are what looks to be human prints, which upon scanning them Atom (Ryan Choi) finds are saturated with 4-D energy. Batman is in the midst of saying they have to dig deeper, when Ryan belt begins to beep an alert. Killer Frost (Kaitlin Snow) ask's what it is, when she is overcome with the feeling of Deja Vu and Ryan replies that it's normal to feel that way, when in the presence of chrono reactive energy, that his mentor's arch nemesis Chronos produces.

A proximity alarm rings drawing the Leaguers and as they race to the source, when a hole in the time stream opens up. Out of it streams numerous Techno-Chiefs taken and turned against from Darkseid, as well as Chronos. The Ray jets towards Chronos over confidently and is hit by one of Chronos' time pins stopping him in his tracks. Chronos then proceeds to incapacitate Killer Frost, put Batman in a never ending time loop and then confront Ryan one on one, as the others are busy fighting the Techno-Chiefs.

Chronos insults Ryan of his unworthiness to take up the mantle of his mentor, while Ryan keeps up his banter with the villain, to stall until his teammates dealt with the other threats. Aztec flies in attacking Chronos, breaking his concentration so the others could free themselves and surprises him when she reveals she's protected from his manipulation abilities due to her suit. Chronos tosses tiny hourglasses at their feet, which turn out to be explosives , giving him enough time to escape.

Ryan gives chase while the rest of the Leaguers wrap up the remaining Techno-Chiefs, but he catches up to Chronos too late, watching the villain disappear just as his teammates arrive. He tells them, they don't have to give chase with him, but Batman immediately shuts him down, saying they're a team. All seven Leaguers step into the time stream, stepping out millions of years in the past and are met by a beautiful world. The scene is quickly ruined as Chronos comes into view surrounded by out of time soldiers riding atop of dinosaurs and at the center, on his knees in chains in front of Chronos is Ahl, the superhero god.
