I figured since I've seen alot of threads about hip-hop on these forums and some off-topic conversation about it in other threads..that we should have an official thread to discuss this genre of music.I'll start it off...

Wow, way to start off a thread. I don't think we could have went through a complete thread without your opinion, oh wise reaper2923. Though, with all due respect, I highly doubt you have as much talent as the average rapper.

I didn't hate it, but it wasn't what I was expecting, especially since Jay himself was talking about how this was a classical album--but then you have all these freshmen on it. DOA is like track 2, then he has Drake autotuned on a hook on like track 5?
It's wasn't what I was expecting, it wasn't really what he said it was [in like the one interview I managed to see on MTV, I'm not sure if this is something he constantly said or repeated], and that's what the biggest disappointment for me was. As an album overall it doesn't stack up against his current works like American Gangster--which was hot, but it's a solid album for me, nonetheless.

Right. Because you've spoken to rappers and they personally tell you that any beat or music that they made with anyone else's music was completely made by them.
With all due respect, it doesn't seem like you know much about hip-hop and only seek to bash it...really, no one's forcing you to say your biased opinion against it here. Frankly, you don't even have to look at the thread.

I think DOA was more for people who don't sing to stop doing autotune.Rappers should be rappers and leave the autotune to the T-Pain's and the Drake's.He was really comin at Kanye,Weezy,etc.
