Itachi being a double agent doesn't discount what he said especially since kisame thought the same thing. It's not like he didn't disagree. Tbh sage mode jirayia with the toads could take them both. Just a bad match up for kisame and itachi. Kisame won't really have any chakra to absorb and jirayia would be the better h2h combatant not to mention his jutsu seems more fit to taking them on. He also has multiple summons to assist him

Sick Itachi beats Jiraya 1 v 1 a majority of the time due to Jiraya not having an answer for 1 shot moves like Tsukuyomi or Totsuka Blade.

In character Sasuke and Itachi start with Amaterasu and genjutsu respectively, eliminating two of the Sannin outright. I trust I don't need to explain what happens with the third one. In fact, considering the Sannin reputation, Kakashi might decide to start with Kamui as well. Three shots, three dead.

@wushu59: jirayia couldn't even walk straight and misused one of his jutsu from the drug. Like an hour before the fight he couldn't even perform a jutsu. He summoned a frog as weak as the one kid naruto summoned at the beginning of the fight

@wushu59: 1. If itachi alone said it and kisame disagreed you would have a point but kisame (who knows both of their limits pretty well also agreed that they would lose and kisame wasn't a double agent

2. 6 paths of pain could have lost to jirayia and only beat him through a sneak attack. That's a jirayia with no knowledge. Itachi is highly wanked within his own verse. Jirayia counters him pretty hard especially with the toads sages summoned

3. Again we don't know what happened in the jirayia vs naruto fight. It was off screen and kisame beat a killer bee that was deliberately holding back

4. Tsukuyomi is countered by toad sages attached to him breaking the jutsu. Tsukuyomi couldn't even immediately knock out part 1 kakashi but you think it'll 1 shot SM jirayia? That's the wank I'm talking about and this doesn't even go into the stamina issues that itachi has. SM sensing and superior speed allow him to dodge totsuka.

What counter do they have to gamabunta, sage toads, the clumsy one as well? Any of these in of themselves would give the some trouble all together they can easily overwhelm
