Shang Chi & Cat vs Batman & Nightwing

• Random encounter
• In character
• Shang and Cat have their regular assortment of melee and throwing weapons.
• Bruce has his grappling gun and basic batarangs.
• Nightwing has his escrima sticks, grappling line and batarangs.
• Standard elimination rules apply

Nightwing & Batman win respectively. Not without a fight of course. Anyone willing to debate with me on that?

Bats & NW's equipment is too much of a factor.

Not an expert on the cat and shang chi but I would say batman is MVP hands down, but nightwing is the weak link. I think it depends how batman and nightwing do engage the 2. If they use there gadgets I think they will win otherwise in hand to hand I feel like nightwing will fall first after a pretty good fight.

I know very little about Cat, and as such will blindly say team 2 stomps in the time-honored ComicVine way. In all seriousness, though, I'm not sure that Grayson can be called a weak link when I think he'd at the very least give Shang Chi hell.

First fight Heroes for Hire vol.1 #11 (theres a two page splash panel to open up the comic that I'm not posting cause it irrelevant. Its just both sides posing getting ready to throw down. This is the meat and potatoes of the fight. Iron Fist gets distracted and knocked out).

There arent anymore panels from this issue displaying the fight. The next time we see Rand he's waking up in a cell/dungeon. They throw down again in issue 18. Cat gets destroyed.

They've fought a few times and have always been portrayed as being fairly close in skill.

Team 2.Even though with the scans I have seen from Shang I can't see him defeating Batman or Nightwing.And not very familiar with the Cat.

Cat did face Danny twice. Scans are on page 1. The first encounter was clearly a stalemate until Danny's focus was diverted. Based on that, it's very odd that the second match would change so drastically. Danny claims he lost because he was distracted (which is true in the conclusion of the first match), but prior to that he was focused on Cat and they were evenly matched.

Absolutely. It could be argued that Shang and Cat maybe better fighters, but even if they are it is only by a small margin compared to Bruce and Dick. The standard gear that they carry (body armor, batarangs, grappling lines, smoke pellets, etc) more than makes up for it. Team Bat for the win. But thanks to the OP cause that would be a great fight to watch though.
