Emily decided to experience homelessness as part of her doctoral thesis, but it turned out to be much harsher than she thought, and she’s had about as much as she can take. She’s standing by the roadside, holding a “will work for food” sign when a handsome man appears with a job offer. He needs her help covering for a thoughtless lie that he told.
