As opposed to the previous issue which still channeled some of the same adventurousness here with the Boora Witch taking over Dejah the story becomes bogged down somewhat in itself. It should be said that I find this series so interesting because it mostly ignores all the politicking on Mars and instead focuses on the characterizations of Dejah. Whereas in this issue Dejah is not even herself half of the time, it leaves only the scheming of the houses against one another to tie everything together which as expected from this series only does it about as good as can be expected from less than engaging developments. It becomes clear how dependent this series is on Dejah for its success. She is not only the heart and soul as the lead character but also the driving force behind almost all of the plots. Having already read the entire story arc, I know where this is headed, but it is not getting there by a very graceful way.
