When Mistress Nyx killed Vampirella by impaling her with her trident, she cast her body into the Pit of Sorrows, which was filled with skeletal remains of other creatures who fell sway to Nyx's campaign of violence, along with the other Chaos Lords. Twenty-five years later,Pendragon used the Lazarus Book to resurrect Vampirella, and she rose from the grave.
