    Robocop Terminator: Kill This Series

So Dynamite seems to love grabbing oldskool franchises and trying to breathe new life into them but more often then not they instead murder them and make the franchise for new generations look bad. I shall admit that I have not seen anything Robocop (OMG WAT?!?!) but before you judge me I know the Terminator series well and I love them. So I could almost be considered a new reader…

The story: there are three known humans and they tried breaking into Skynet base. So three humans tried to break into likely one of the most heavily secured areas of all places, sounds stupid to me. And guess what, it was! The first page we see a man have his head crushed with a sickening “THLOCK”. Seriously, thlock? That is not the sound I picture when a head is getting crushed but oh well.

They break into a museum because apparently artificial intelligence are sentimental about their past failures and think they should have it physically represented. Because you know, the fact that every robot has a built in computer means absolutely nothing for storing this information if they wish to have “memories”.

Anyways another guy dies and the last woman and most likely human walks through the museum and we see Robocop’s gun and then Robocop who all of a sudden is operating and tries to have a crash course about the history of the world he has awoken in. Other things happen but I won’t ruin the last few things coz that will be painful for you to have to read as I imagine you will be yelling in disbelief at the screen.

The comic is written by Rob Williams and he comes across as a fanboy that couldn’t sleep with excitement when he was able to write this project. I mean c’mon its two famous robotic franchises that come together. What could possibly go wrong? Cross overs have happened before and I’m sure there are a few out there that have actually worked out. What I am trying to say in a long winded fashion is that his writing in this is terrible! What the characters do in this make absolutely no sense and they just come across as dense. Robocop comes across as a whiney teenager who can’t stop pouting. I wanted him to be shot and put out of action.

P.J. Holden did the artwork. Horrible! What else can be said? The most annoying would probably hafta be Robocop’s forever changing jaw. The shape changes a few times, I swear! After that the second most annoying problem with the artwork is the awkwardly shaped bodies. You are just gonna hafta look at this yourselves to truly understand what I mean by this.

People, you need to avoid this series! Avoid it at all costs and you will have a happier life. If you buy it don’t say somebody didn’t warn you because I did.
