Get It! 0

As I have said before with DC's reboot (will it last, only time will tell) I decided to give them a chance. I was wanting something a little less than the normal like Batman or Aquaman. I was tossing up between Swamp Thing and Animal Man and took the latter coz a mate recommended it. I am glad that I picked this up and so far, three issues in, I still wanna collect the series.Buddy Baker and his daughter have found the Red Place. This is the physical place of The Red, the life force Buddy taps i...

Nice Change 0

Looking up “Maniac Cop” on IMDb I came across a short film of the same name done by a man named Chris R. Notarile. Looking up his stuff he’s done many short films and it was a given he is a lover of comic books, with many of his short films being based on characters. I then learnt he had his own comic publishing company (Hound Comics) and put one of his original works into the comic book format with the title The Protector. Before it starts, Notarile gives a brief description on his thought of co...

Strong Follow Up 0

So my previous review for Animal Man was basically praising it for everything. It was something I personally have not seen in a super hero comic. I bought it on kind of a whim (it wasn’t really coz a mate suggested it) even though I grow tired of super heros and the Big Two altogether. As I explained before and will again I decided to pick this up to give DC another chance. I mean c’mon, they relaunched everything in a desperate attempt to not fall off the face of the planet and so far I’m doing...

DareWhat? 0

I had become a fan of Daredevil after reading about half of Bendis’ run and so I decided to try and find some of DD’s older adventures. After searching through Ebay for a while I came across a six issue set with the arc titled “Fall from Grace” and so I bought it (obviously, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this review). And man is it a bit less than expected. Really bad art and writing all over the place is what plagues this issue and I shall go onto explaining now.Silver Sable has been hired to...

Robocop Terminator: Kill This Series 1

So Dynamite seems to love grabbing oldskool franchises and trying to breathe new life into them but more often then not they instead murder them and make the franchise for new generations look bad. I shall admit that I have not seen anything Robocop (OMG WAT?!?!) but before you judge me I know the Terminator series well and I love them. So I could almost be considered a new reader…The story: there are three known humans and they tried breaking into Skynet base. So three humans tried to break int...

Good Restart For New Readers 2

I know I have made it clear I am over the super hero genre and Marvel and DC but with the latter trying desperately not to fall I decided to give it a shot with their relaunch. I was wanting to steer away from the super heros so I was tossing up between Swamp Thing and Animal Man as I had decided I was only going to pick one title to spend my money on because honestly I wasn't giving it much hope. So I knew a bit about Swamp Thing and nothing of Animal Man and a mate of mine had said AM looked l...

Kirkman Ends on a Plateau 0

This comic book has had its ups and downs already and it has only been going on just over a year, already behind schedule I believe. I think I am collecting this because I have been collecting it from the start, I am a fan of Spawn and Robert Kirkman. Though I am disappointed that Kirkman and Greg Capullo are leaving to be released. Perhaps Kirkman had a tiff with McFarlane? Or just thought Super Dinosaur was gonna be more promising than this. I guess we’ll never know until Kirkman’s or McFarlan...

So Much To Use and Yet Falls Short 0

So I haven’t done a comic review for a while and one main reason to this is because I’m tired of the super hero genre and Marvel and DC. Though I still get a few because I’ve been collecting them for a while and I wanna be able to say “I was there for the downfall of that”. I picked up this comic, saw that it was a self contained story, scanned two pages and bought it at almost the same price of a normal issue. And I am going to say it now so as to not waste your time by making you read the enti...
