They should reboot the Superman franchise, IMO. Sucks that WB didn't get to put out that next movie with Routh, Returns wasn't awful, there are just things that annoyed me about it--like the fact that Lois would do Superman in costume [kinda disgusting] and Superman leaving and whatnot, no real super-villain...mountain of Kryptonite...

Makes me mad all over again.

But, yes, they need a reboot.

I think the dude was great as Sups and would like to see him again as Sups just reboot it but leave the dude as Sups because I think he did great... Oh and the dialog, please no more crying "I'm still Superman!" Why would he cry that, really?

Luthor was also great in the movie and funny.

It'd probably be better to reboot. there was a fair bit wrong about returns, it was ok but .....etc. I have to admit though that i thought he did a decent job in the role  so i wouldn't mind them casting him again but they probably wouldn't to try and distance it from returns

He sucked as Superman....Mediocreman is what he was. Maybe that's just me not being able to get the image of Christopher Reeves as Superman out of my head, but the WB wrote a check that Routh couldn't cash. The Superman franchise needs a proper reboot in the worst way.

I just hope it's settled soon I don't want to wait 20 years for another Superman like older fans did, If Marvel is giving all their heroes even the barely imagined heroes movies and other comic books are being sold as movies the minute they are printed then hopefully the biggest will get his due. What Superman movies really need is a producer who loves Superman just like the Batman films have Michael Uslan who is also a Comic book historian and is a huge Batman fan.

I don't think that Routh was the problem with this movie.

They need to put him in a moview where he has to freaking dodge some punches! No matter what the problem, just wait till superman shows up and he will fix it lickety split. Where's the suspense?

Let him get in a fight that you might ACTUALLY believe he could lose and things will turn around for this franchise.

The Superman Returns movie was aweful!
I hated Lois having his child ... it was just too far too soon without filing any of the blanks in.

But they should go a revamp and keep Brandon as Superman.

They could keep the kid if he's revealed to be Superman Secundus when he gets older and starts the Superman Dynasty like in All Star Superman.

He shouldn't compare it to the insane popularity of Dark Knight, since Batman Begins was a bloody good film to start with.  Superman Returns was nothing like Batman Begins, and certainly nowhere near as good!  

Lets face it he didn't have the stature for Superman, looked more like Superboy IMO. If they do another they need to amp up the villian.  Spacey was a great Lex, but Lex was about the easiest villian they could have done.

Why don't they just bring in Doomsday (Who is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so they never have to make another supes movie again?

Reboot! Get Henry Cravill as Superman.

Reboot is a must for this franchise . Anyway the last movie was TERRIBLE,so so so so Terrible and I have to disagree with those of u that say Brandon was good ,,,because I didn't like him at all....he can't carry a leading a role ,especially someone so important as Superman , we need somebody more Prestigious for this Role .....enough said !!!

Spacey did really well as Lex, but i'd like the next Superman movie to be without Lex.

Routh did a decent job as Sups and you can't blame him for a crappy plot.  Hell its as much Spacey's fault as it is Routh's.  The new Batman's would suck just as much if it had a poor script.

I think that Superman should be acted by an older actor than Routh. I really liked Kevin Spacey as Lex and I hope he's in the next movie, but not as the main villain. I think that the next villain should be either Darkseid, Bizarro, General Zod or Jax-Ur. I wouldn't mind seeing Lex Luthor in his Lexorian Warsuit in a battle.

it doesnt matter whether they start over or continue from superman returns as long as they do the next movie right. Routh did do a good job, and dont care to see anybody else play him but if they did it shouldnt be anybody who is already playin a different version of him, that just seem stupid to me.

The actors weren't bad, it's all in the story.

That sucks, the movie may have been bad but all of the actors were great (except Luthor and his henchmen). He deserves another shot.

Routh is a perfect choice. Spacey sucked as Lex, get the guy Michael from Smallville or just leave him out the movie. The problem was the script. Get a better one and an oppenent to face. And that is all.

I kinda enjoyed the movie. Then again, I dont complain much about movies.

only thing i didn't like was the kid but i was watching it on t.v yesterday and thought what if lex had some of supes DNA left over after the nuclear man and combined it with his but he implanted into lois and though that it failed thats why he asked whos the kids dad and then we can have superboy

Reboot maybe try to find a different actor but the only if the next person is better not a downgrade.

How Warner Bros has been handling Superman for the last decade or so has made me very mad. Sure Bryan Singer's movie wasn't the best, but compared to what the WB had in mind for Supes before he came in were infinitely WORSE. Routh did a pretty good job as Superman, and it's a shame that he may not get the chance to shine as the Man of Steel.

If they don't mind doing going the older route I'd still like to see Jim Cavizel do Superman.

Re-Reboot time, again

the movie was to me was like an ending of the story that connected superman movie and superman 2 then this return movie.  I think they should do a reboot of the series but do the John Byrne story i think this would look cool.

no big shocker here. I feel Routh was chosen partially because he slightly resembled Christopher Reeve, besides that he was just a tall model. His acting could of been stronger. No way he would of held his own with the likes of Bale.

Routh was a great choice for supeman. It actually worked in his favor being hired as an unknown. I would see him again.

Routh was a really hot superman.
