razzatazz's Stormwatch #5 - The Dark Side, Part Five review

The only question you should be asking yourselves

This issue is a sort of transitional issue from one story arc to another, and it is effective enough, but it goes through some weird highs and lows to get there.  To start with the first half of the book is a long drawn out conversation about who the next leader should be.  It discusses the merits of each individual character without going into too much detail so as to give away future developments for the characters.  While this is happening, Apollo and Midnighter are trying to find a way out, that is before they happen across the Eminence of Blades, apparently up to no good.  A decent battle develops between the two with well executed dialogue, and really this is the high for this issue and really the issue at this point could have been still good if it wasn't for the somewhat cliched ending, which means this issue rates in as average.

How is it that Miguel Sepulveda is so great at covers I should hate. He always does these covers with designs that should be cheesy or 'standard action' or whatever type of cover I usually hate or just get bored of. But there's always some little touch to them that make them great and compelling covers. This one is no exception, it's intense and in your face. The dethroning of Adam One is a clever catalyst for delivering some well disguised exposition on the backgrounds of the main characters via...
