When Rubio Dolar found his grandfather's diary, he discovered that the Gotham Civic Center was built through slave labor. Rubio's grandfather had been killed during the construction, and years later Rubio adopted a new identity and took revenge against the people he held responsible for his grandfather's death. Rubio ran a foul of Batman several times and in their last confrontation fell to his death.
