  1. Guts

  Probably one of the most tragic way to lose an arm.

  As a last ditch effort to escape the jaws of a demon and save his beloved from being raped,Gut cut of his own arm with a broken blade.After several painful shots Gut was free,only to be pinned down and have his left eye slowly gouge out while the other one watches helplessly while the only woman he's loved be raped by the man he once called friend.

  2. Edward Elric

  While trying to bring his mother back from death,young Edward Elric and his brother Alphonse paid a great price to see the door truth.Alphonse lost his entire body,while Edward had lost a leg.As a desperate attempt to get his brother back young Edward risked everything to grab his brother soul from the door of truth and put it in a suit of armor,the price this time was his arm.

  While on a mission,during the near end of WW2,with his partner and friend Captain America;young Bucky Barnes tragically lose his life over the English Channel due to an explosion...or so it seemed.Bucky had actually survived the blast only losing an arm,his body had been salvage by the Soviet Union who then turned him into a sleeper agent known as ...The Winter Soldier

  4. Shanks

  During a visit to North Blue,one of the 4 great pirates, Shanks and his crew befriends a local child known as Monkey D. Luffy.While having drinks and fun another pirate comments on how Shanks is weak pirate,not knowing of Shanks reputation,and going as far as too spill a drink a on top of his head,Shank response was to clean the drink with a smile on his face.Luffy,angered by this nonchalant display lashes out at Shanks and goes on to try an attack the other pirate,the other pirate responses to this by throwing Luffy in the ocean that currently inhabited by a large sea monster.Shanks has one of his crew kill the other man instantly and then goes on to save Luffy from the sea monster but in doing so lost his arm to the beast.

  5. Roy Harper

  While trying to warn the JL of a Plan by villain known asPrometheus Roy Harper arm was Cut off by Prometheus pretending to be Freddy Freeman,

  6. Fourth Raikage

  During his battle with the newly evil Sasuke Uchiha The Fourth Raikage or Ai arm is hit with Sasuke extremely deadly technique known as the Amaterasu,a fire technique that burn what ever it touches into ashes.Ai slowly being devoured by the flame simply cuts of the effected area *i.e his arm* Quickly with out any hesitation.

  7. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez

  Though Temporarily Grimmjow's arm was cut off and destroyed by Kaname Tousen, when he went against the command of his leader(Aizen) and talked disruptively toward Kaname himself.
