They better have improved the animation since the last trailer if they plan on doing a theatrical release, even if it is for one night.

Man one would have hoped they would have used Rebirth's new costume designs as a way to ditch Black Canary's fishnets.

True. But, sadly, the fishnets have moved beyond the realm of fan obsession to fan fetish and the creators apparently feel obligated to feed the beast. The thing is, even without the fishnets, BC's "costume" here would still be pretty awful. Booty shorts and unlaced work boots? Really?

If the fishnets are really so vital to the character that she can't do without them, then just put her back in her original costume. It's an anachronism but it's a nice visual design and the only one where the fishnets came anywhere close to making any actual design sense (in large part because the design is so old-fashioned). Every subsequent attempt to incorporate the fishnets into a "modern" design has come off looking like a Frankenstein-ish mishmash.

Honestly, fishnets are like typical fashion wear these days, so Canary rocking fishnets isn't as much of a problem now as some people may have thought it was 10 or so years ago.

I really hope that they don't try to play up Tim needing training. Tim doesn't need training. I really hope his position here is just a regular teamup character and they treat him like the teen vet he is.

Even though he's the Superman I grew up, Pre-Flashpoint isn't the true Superman, he's just a Superman. A Superman not hampered by horrible writing, editorial meddling, and lack of focus. Look at Superman in Unchained or in the Justice League books, or any guest spot he'd had and you'll see the Superman of old.

After all, the same issues that plagued DCnU Supes are the same issues that Superman had prior to the reboot in the first place, and brining back the old Superman is just DC's cheap way of dodging an issue by saying it didn't count and isn't valid rather than getting competent staff to direct the character to remove him from the issues.

On the bright side, he has a competent roster now, so I guess that's a plus.

This is very easy to figure out - they're the same person but from different era's. Golden Age, Crisis (pre-New 52), and New 52. Thanks to this whole new Rebirth we have already seen that there are two different Wally Wests' from different universes', so that easily explains three Joker's.

They're not from different universes. Wally is now from the Prime universe in the same manner as Barry; being a carry-over from the Flashpoint with vague memories of what happened. He's just been retconned into being removed from the timeline. Pre-DCnU Supes and Lois are the only ones from the old continuity.

I still don't think they needed to kill Superman; DCnU Supes just needed better writing; there were glimmers of old Supes across his books, mostly appearing in the team books, but it just needed to be brought out by consistent staff and with a better editor.

doesn't sound too different from Garfield's Spidey

Not much different, just way better written.

Great rendition of Spider-Man. Only a couple things I didn't like: 1. Aunt Mat imo should not be that young/attractive. The actress that played Aunt May in Raimis Spider-Man was perfect. 2. I did not like Tony knowing about Peter Parker being Spider-Man. It is way to early for that. Iron Man could have met Spidey in costume for a similar conversation to join his team. Not in his apartment flirting with Aunt May.

Your first point makes no sense. Peter is 15, Aunt May is probably in her late 40s, early fifties. The age scale makes sense for an aunt. She shouldn't be "old" until Pete is an actual adult. This is the same age scaling they had in ASM 1 & 2 and it fits better than having a grandmother aged woman be an aunt. The age gulf between sibling children isn't that drastic anymore, and it was probably very rare occasions when it was that drastic.

You really think some super genius superhero billionaire who was supposed to be retired--which means he likely had periods of free time--wouldn't see on the news that there was some new super in town and wouldn't bother trying to piece together who he is and end up figuring it out? The way they did it in the movie is way better than your idea.

@ready_4_madness: Thats a tablet...

Maybe it's a Phablet? Cho seems like he'd be a phablet kind of guy.

It's likely a phablet. There's actually phones that size in China, so it's probably an import.
