Very nice. I like the multiple-power battles. It's certainly a more apt comparison of two characters.

A thought that occurred to me - would it be a pain in the ass to make the results of each battle list vote counts as well? It's certainly not a priority, but I think it'd be interesting to see.

And Galactus vs John Constantine. Interesting. I figure John could talk him into devouring a different planet....

I'm working - slowly - through Preacher. It's teaching me a lot a lot about how to do a series in the best way, and I'm having fun teasing decent character bios out of people who are only in the comic for one or two pages out of 66 issues. I'm saving the main characters for last, as they'll need the most attention to detail....

Is it just a web comic for Heroes, or is there a paper-and-ink version as well? If there were, then it would naturally be open for inclusion here, with reference to the web comics and the TV show as supplemental information. But if the web comic is all there is, I don't think it should be included.

If it's a comic in print, I think it should qualify. But, I think the continuity that is added to the series and the characters within it should apply only to the printed medium, with perhaps a note in the footer saying something like, "For information on the movie/tv show, please click here," leading to perhaps the official homepage of the show. Crossing media will just lead to chaos....

You're absolutely right about the art progression - it's a wonderful example of how an art style can change and improve over time. I just wish Dave had improved the same instead of degenerating. I can still read most of the first half of the series with a lot of pleasure, though. He really nailed Groucho Marx....

I wish my copies of the books weren't 7,000 miles away....

I'm with you (Noir) on all those writers except Sim. He was fantastic until he went crazy, and it's for the ruination of Cerebus that he's off my list.... I'll substitute with Grant Morrison, even though half the time I don't understand what the hell he's talking about. Very few other writers are brave enough to do the weird shit he can pull off.

Artists.... Kevin Maguire, George Perez (and by extension Phil Jiminez), Steve Dillon, Oliver Copeil, and.... um... Gene Ha. They're all I could pull out of my mind without too much effort....

I've been creating characters and selecting their type, but regardless of which one I pick, when they come through the approval process they're mutants. Strange....

I'm an import English teacher in Kyoto, Japan. I've been here over six years now, and I'll probably be here for a while more. Mostly because I really like it here, but partly because I made a joke back in September of 2000 about not returning if George Bush wins the election, and my friends are holding me to it. Originally from New England, studied politics and theatre back in the day....
