My thoughts of IGN's The Top 25 Marvel Villains list

This is my honest, subjective thoughts of the 25 villains IGN listed as the best Marvel has to offer.

List items

  • Strong choice for number 1. The ruler of Latveria is perhaps Marvel's ultimate villain. He sees himself honorable but that's delusion to mask his cruelty and petiness.

  • I don't really care for Magneto. The concept is great but using actual was crimes as an excuce to let Magneto get away with all the bs he has pulled is honestly tasteless. Neither he nor his archrival Xavier has been relevant since the 1990s.

  • Perhaps Marvel's most evil villain and defintiley worthy of a high place.

  • The cruel scheming manipulator Loki is the best Loki. Don't care for attempts to make him sympathetic. Also his role in MCU is overrated.

  • Well actually the list said "Dark Phoenix" but what most people don't seem to realise is that it was always just Phoenix Force, not Jean Grey who was at the time taking a nap at the bottom of a river. Also, overly overrated villain and story.

  • Yeah, okay. He was great in "Infinity Gauntlet" and "Annihilation" stories. After them he would have been better off left dead.

  • Oh hell yeah! Best X-Men foe EVAH!!!

  • Again, hell yeah! Best Spider-Man foe EVAH!!! And he accomplished that long before Superior Spider-Man or being turned into a nazi.

  • Marvel's very own Napoleon of Crime. Definitley deserves to be on the list.

  • Sure, when she is her own treacherous, self-serving self.

  • Of course Victor Creed should be here. Cruel and clever, deserves better than writers often give him.

  • Er, okay I guess? Honestly, I think he was better as an anti-hero rather than as a villain.

  • The list said "Green Goblin" but this is who they meant. And no. Norman should have stayed dead after getting a glider to his lungs. Bringing him back and trying to make him a Lex Luthor wannabe has not worked. Both his son Harry and Roderick Kingsley made much better Goblin villains.

  • Venom's cool but personally I preferred him as the Lethal Protector.

  • Why is this guy still around? He is fine in small dosages but why is he counted among the biggest baddest villains?

  • Some smart choices made as well. Kang deserves to be counted among the best Avengers foes ever.

  • I don't really see the Big G as a villain, more of a force of nature.

  • Hank Pym's greatest creation, a sentient genocide machine, has long since earned his place here.

  • Cool, I love this evil space bug. Rocked as the main villain in "Annihilation".

  • From Larry Hama's Wolverine comics? Okay, sounds good. But don't suggest any William Stryker/Purifiers bs, okay.

  • Aka Madame Hydra. Red Skull thought she was too crazy to be worked with and she stole Norman Osborn's money so... yeah, she's okay in my book.

  • What is the appeal of these things?

  • I like Amora. Probably the most beautiful villain in Marvel's arsenal.

  • Honestly, I haven't read nearly enough Hulk to have a clear opinion here.

  • Really? Look, MODOK is okay but really? We had to have him here? We couldn't have Helmut Zemo or Mister Sinister or Mandarin or Hobgoblin? Had to have MODOK? Really?
