I love how the bra-strap is clearly nowhere to be found in the first panel and magically appears in the third. Sequential art, this guy fails at it.

I thought Superman fans love his work on the title since they can't get enough of posting scans of Superman lifting the entire earth to Superman's punch creating a shockwave that can be felt to the watchtower.

At the rate people are going, there will be a petition out soon to have Lobdell removed from the Supes titles.

I found his work on both Superboy and Teen Titans not to my liking, and this has continued on to both his work on Superman and Action Comics. But simply because some people dislike him doesn't mean he's a bad writer, he must be at least a decent writer if DC are willing to put him on one of their flagship titles.

The only thing I can't get my head wrapped around is why he is (or was incase I missed something) on both the Superman AND Action Comics titles - why would you do that? No diversity in Superman stories whatsoever if you have the same writer on two Superman titles, that's why I'm becoming increasingly gratefull for the release of Superman Unchained with Snyder and Lee - it's a great alternative Superman title which I am currently enjoying alot.

I actually kinda enjoy his work on Superman. Superman and Luthor he has a good handle on. Clark Kent I have less good so say about. And I know from his previous works that he used to be great.

But damn, Teen Titans and Red Hood are bad. It's hard to fathom really..

Greg Pak takes over Action with issue #26. If you don't like Lobdell don't buy his books.

I liked his work on Red Hood. After the first issue he cut the Starfire crap.

Lobdell and Ann Nocenti. I am new comic reader, but seriously, do they ever write anything good? I have never seen any of there book get good reviews in the past 2 years.

Ok seriously every one go back before the new 52 and read stuff about starfire she is not a very interesting character and is pretty much just some super powered bimbo.

@xwraith: what really? i just hate lodbell because he is writing superman teen titans and he is doing an awful job i know he writing more but those are the only 2 titles that i actually care that he is ruining

NOT COOL wishing a guy to lose his job. We all have families and we all do the best we can. Don't like his writing? Don't read his books. But don't wish ill on the guy.

Supes is my fav hero, but I don't get excited because of Lobdell

They wrote some good stuff in the 80'ties (Nocenti appears to have had a good run on Daredevil) and the 90'ties (Lobdell with the X-Men: Age of Apocalypse), sad thing is that they seem to have remained in their respective decades rather than evolve with the times.

@cheesesticks: You are totally and completely right. When I posted this, Superman comics were pretty much all I was reading. But now that Ive caught up on Batman and Green Lantern and now we're dealing with the Trinity War and Forever Evil garbage...Im fed up with DC. No respect or love for any of their characters these days. Superman/Wonderwoman is the only book out right now that I look forward to with a DC title.

@thitiki: Just my opinion, but I think he's making his Superman story lines "too weird". Superman can't tell what's real from what's not because he's being psionically attacked by 3 people with mind altering powers. Look, he has to go back in time (sort of) to make sure Krypton dies and preserve our timeline/earth. (or something like that) In short, story lines I'd equate more for a book like Phantom Stranger. Not that I think Superman should punch his way through every problem, but what's the point of having a guy with super-strength, speed, and 100 different kinds of vision, if the story lines rarely involve him having to use any of those things, other than for show?

Teen Titans= Awful

Superman=The only thing good with that title was Rocafort

Outside of my own criticisms of Mr. Lobdell's writing, as a person he could use some work as well.

As long as he keeps making DC money, all the riots in the world aren't going to stop DC from giving him work.
