@kgb725: Why would Owen or the Tribunal protect him? Owen abandoned him at the end and as far as I know has made no attempts to reach out to him since and there is no reason for the Tribunal to protect Doom, what would be the purpose or reason?

Most of the higher tier cosmics remember, in the Prime Universe alone they range from Galactus, the remaining and new Celestials, the Queen of Nevers, Lord Chaos, Master Order, etc. so what of dimensional entities like Mephisto who has an axe to grind on him then there is the Maker from 1610 he certainly remembers and is no friend to Doom, or the alt universe cosmics or time travelers the list is endless.

All Doom really saved is the remnant of a remnant of the multiverse and crushed it under his boot heel the beings of the new multiverse owe him no favors, in fact he found away to destroy it once and accomplished it. If I was the new Tribunal Doom of Marvel Prime would be target number one.

@kgb725: For Doom to acknowledge the events and face some sort of consequences for killing...well everything. It may have been to stop the Beyonders but bottom line it was thorough his actions that everything died in the Marvel's Multiverse.

In Time Run's out everyone from Kang/Immortus, to the Celestial host and beyond were looking for the cause to stop the collapse, you might think one or two cosmic beings might have a bone to pick with the Destroyer?

Done right it might be a great series of flashback stories.

We all know Doom was God Emperor of Battleworld and that he has been on a journey of redemption of late, but I find it odd or maybe I missed it but has Doom addressed his 8 years as Rabum Alal during which he killed thousands of MM, created a cult of woman followers (the "Black Swans") and by his own undertakings is responsible for the multiversal incursions and collapse in his war to stop the Beyonders and what about Yabbat (aka Black Swan) I believe she has a bone to pick with Doom?

I saw this story on Newsarama and would love to see this happen!

https://www.newsarama.com/38773-justice-league-vs-avengers-crossover-teased-by-each-team-s-incoming-writers.html

Do you want to see a modern day Justice League vs. Avengers crossover? So does each title's incoming writer.

Wait... what?

It all started when Scott Snyder, who is taking over Justice League in May, tweeted out his excitement for Jason Aaron being named as writer of Avengers.

Crazy excited for @jasonaaron on Avengers - going to be epic

— Scott Snyder (@Ssnyder1835) February 20, 2018

Aaron quickly tweeted back, with a teasing proposal:

Cheers, Scott. Maybe we need to work up a new Justice League vs. Avengers crossover.

— Jason Aaron (@jasonaaron) February 20, 2018

And Snyder was quick to agree, noting the two met up in-person this past weekend at Planet Comicon.

I would do that with you anytime brother! Huge congrats and good seeing this weekend. https://t.co/d8VGJqkeoC

— Scott Snyder (@Ssnyder1835) February 20, 2018

Former Marvel Editor-In-Chief (and former DC editor) Axel Alonso also chimed in, saying --

So am I. We were building to this for quite a while. Hopefully I get comps. ????

— axel alonso (@axelalonsomarv) February 20, 2018

With current Marvel executive editor/Senior VP of Publishing endorsed it, offering a low-cost price point tying into an old DC promotion.

For you, I’ll hold the line at $2.99...

ok, I'm probably reading to much into this but.......

MIGHTY THOR: AT THE GATES OF VALHALLA #1

“The Death of the Mighty Thor” has come and gone. But Jane Foster’s power to inspire lives on — even in the far future! Don’t miss the tribute to Jason Aaron’s epic tale of Thor and the mighty hammer Mjolnir, drawn by rising star Jen Bartel!

And with or without a Thor, the War of Realms continues. As Malekith’s power grows, the realms will fall — and who is left to stop him? Eisner Award–winning artist Ramón Pérez kicks off the next stage of Jason Aaron’s ongoing saga.

You are a couple of years too late with this. And no, the 616 Universe and all the characters with their histories are completely intact. Especially since Reed restored it after Secret Wars.

Not really since people still refer to 616 as the current standing Marvel Universe (factual incorrect), sorry you missed the real point of my op. The 616 universe has been dead since Secret Wars #1 (2015), Yes, the 616 characters and their history were re-created into the current Marvel (Prime) universe with some elements of 1610 and the new Universe thrown (essentially the same as dead 616) with the exception of crew of the life boats (thanks for pointing that out btw).

My whole point of my OP was to point out that people no longer need to reference 616 in their battles or other threads and found it odd that three years later only the Vine community is still stuck on 616.

But I do appreciate your input, thanks!

The history is mostly the same, so there’s no need to call it Prime Earth.

Agreed, nor should it be referenced as 616 since that is factual incorrect.

Thanks for chiming in fellows!

@theonewhopullsthestrings:

That was not point of this thread, I never implied they were going for "another hard reboot" in my initial comments I clearly stated that there was little difference from 616 to Prime but that the Vine community was still incorrectly labeling current Marvel as 616 as Prime, a quirk that never seemed to trip folks up in creating DC battle threads.

Thanks

If you are going to do this, link to an article newer than 3 years ago....

I wrote it this morning because I saw three new threads referring to 616 characters. Three years ago wouldn't have made sense.

Thanks for commenting!

Edit: Sorry, on my phone and just re-read your comment, SW was three years ago, there are no newer articles because everyone but the Vine community has accepted the change from 616 to Prime.

Sorry for my confusing comment.
