For anyone who actually reads these, I will be staying away from the site from the 10th to some time around the 17th.

Due to the fact that I haven't been keeping up with the MU recently, this is outdated. And in no particular order.

List items

  • I've been a fan of Magik since the first time I saw her in the New Mutants series. She may not be too complex as of yet, I suppose, but she shows promise.

  • Reminds me of an old friend.

  • Throughout The Boys, Homelander comes off as a heartless, homicidal sociopath of sorts that knows all too well that he is, essentially, the most powerful being in the country, maybe even the entire world, and exploits the hell out of that fact.

He also seems to be one of the fewer higher-up superheroes that actually seem to know what's going on. Not the kind of person you can easily pull one over on.

  • Because when you're that cool, you don't NEED to make sense.

  • She fits into the oracular role that most precogs fill and ends up being both hard to understand and really cute as well.

  • Franklin is genuinely a really good kid. He's got the compassion and courage necessary to make a great superhero, and he seems friendly enough to work in a team environment. As long as he doesn't get put under too much strain, he seems like he'll end up okay in the long run; as a hero, he'd work best in a team, functioning as the absolute ideal support character (he can alter reality itself, it's kinda like having a multi-tool). I'm really looking forward to seeing what's going to happen with him in the future

  • The most powerful member of the Fantastic Four, not to mention the most realistically depicted mother I've seen in comics for a long time.

  • Due to the fact that I haven't been keeping up with the MU recently, this is outdated.

  • Believe it or not, Colossus is surprisingly deep. I ran across a conversation he had with Shadowcat quite a while back about life and death, and it just stunned me. An artist and all-around nice guy, I think it would be pretty hard NOT to like colossus if you met him in real life.

  • Dark Reign sold me on this guy. The way they explained his struggle with bipolar disorder is, without a doubt, THE best depiction of mental illness I have seen in comics to date.

  • Classy, strong, passionate, and with an awesome wife to boot.

  • Meggan's a total sweetheart, and I've always had a soft spot for her. There's something about her attitude that's just too CUTE!

  • He has the best comebacks.

  • Besides being ridiculously fun to read about, Mystique has just enough issues to intrigue me, and she's a fan of Oscar Wilde to boot. A new addition to my list of favourites, but I think I'll be reading about her for a while...

    Or not.

  • That is one hell of a theme song...

  • I'll always be a Zatanna fan at heart. Something about her personality is incredibly endearing...

  • Super-intelligent toddler telling off Jamie Madrox? WIN.

  • She's fun to read about, and has some of the best lines in the series. Her personality contrasts the characters she interacts with so starkly that one can't help but pay attention, and it's hard not to like someone with both power and control.
