Although it is true glass does reflect heat it still absorbs some of the residual heat and the melting point of glass is 500-1,650 degrees. When Superman's heat vision heat vision temperature varies I have heard tempatures varying from 5,000-25,000,000 degrees so intern why doesn't the glass from the mirror melt. I'm okay with Superman using parts of his ship because a krytonian metal would be able to with stand the heat but no common mirror could.
