I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of this character, so my question is:

Out of the characters whose main ability is martial artist or hand to hand, who could take him?

I made a topic similar to this and i agree with liking the character that much but everyone that posted on mine said no one can beat with these characteristics.

The problem (as Buckshot pointed out) is that Midnighter isn't a street level character. He's above martial artists and hand to hand experts. Its like putting Thanos up against Elektra.

Fine then could he take someone like Colossus or juggernaut since so much above street levelers he wouldnt have problem taking them on.

HOW would he take Juggernaut? I don't think he'd lose to either of them but there's no way he can beat Juggernaut. That's probably what you wanted to hear though.

I disagree. I believe there is a way he can beat Juggernaught. Spiderman did it before.

Without magic or telepathy there's almost no way to beat Juggernaut who isn't being written down. He could avoid him all day, but I can't see him putting Cain down. How do you think he would do it?

I think he could take Juggs. Here's how it would go down. Midnighter would recognize the same weakness that Shatterstar did when X-Force and Spidey fought the Juggernaught. His exposed eye. He would pull out the old Three Stooges double finger eye poke.

I can see that and I'd call that a win if he could actually do it, but I didn't think of them fighting in a place where Juggernaut getting tricked out maneuvered out of the immediate area would stop him from just coming back in a couple minutes. How would he get a ring out if they were fighting in the middle of a city? Unless you're including Midnighter's access to the Carrier (and Doors), I don't see a ring out really working.

That was a vulnerability that could only be exploited with magical weapons. Midnighter doesn't have magical weapons.

I guess its all about location, location, location. It wasn't specified so I took it upon myself to locate them where a ring out may be possible. Like a Volcano, or a cliff :P

How can Midnighter take Colossus without outside armament?

Don't know if he could. His best chance would be working the parts of Colossus that have a chance of being hurt, like eyes, ears, balls and internal organs (shoving a bomb or shurikens down his throat). He could also use Doors if he's allowed. (I don't mention that much but I don't consider it outside armament since he often uses it while fighting.) Colossus wouldn't beat him though.

Midnighter can take a lot of beings with incredible power. He might give Hulk a run for his money too I think.

Since Midnighter is superhuman, with more than just martial arts skills on his side, putting him up against a street-level fighter is overkill; it plays directly to his strengths.

There are many characters that could beat him, though...just not very many street-level ones (Mr. Terrific is a possibility; I can't think of anyone else). He was beaten pretty badly by Tank Man, so it seems there are certain levels of power that he can't challenge, even with his implants and enhanced physical abilities.

Personally, I think any of the Bleach Shinigami Captains could kill him. I would love to see Byakuya or Kenpachi grind his arrogant face into the dirt.

Irecall having a battle with Buck using street levelers and I believe I won even though Buck used Midnighter whoi was not a streetleveler. ;)

The only battle that could fit that description that I can recall was BP and Kitty Pryde vs Midnighter and Terror Inc. If that's the one you were talking about, I don't think you won. ;)

He was an opponent of Shang Chi, who died and body was stolen by the Kree. He was then agumented to take on the Silver Sufer.

Well there was a character in an Authority issue that Midnighter couldn't even touch, Midnighter was being beat senseless. I think it was Jack how saved him.

Anyone who's too fast for him to react to. It doesn't matter if you can see your opponent's next move if your body isn't fast enough to counter it.

Anyone who's too tough for him to effect, like Hulk or Juggernaut.

Anyone who can mess with his implants, like telepaths and technokinetics.

Obviously, you have to be intelligent and competent to beat him as well.

I'm sorry to say, being a big fan of MK myself, that he can't take Midnighter. The guy is Batman with fraction of the power of Flash and Superman. No one short of superhuman would be able to beat this guy.

Moondragon could beat Midnighter. She's a trained martial artist and her telepathy would prevent Midnighter from  being able to see all the future paths of a fight.

Mantis should be able to destroy him, too. How is he going to defeat the Celestial Madonna. Her punch stunned Thor!

I'd like to see a fight with Freestyle. Think that could be interesting.

Buckshot, How do you think Midnighter would fair against The Killer? Or better yet Taskmaster.
