Idris Elba, also Idrissa Akuna Elba before shortening it, was born in England on the 6th of September in 1972. He would go on to be a television, stage and movie actor.

Working out of both England and America Elba's acting roles include a variety of small roles from both countries, starting out acting in shows such as Bramwell and Dangerfield before pursing acting roles in the US. Heimdall
Elba portrayed Heimdall in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His casting was met with minor controversy, with many questioning the decision to have a black man play a Nordic god. Such criticism was largely dismissed by Elba as being ridiculous, with similar sentiment echoed by his co-stars, such as Jaimie Alexander. In what many criticized as an attempt to force more diversity into the film most likely just being a result of Kenneth Branagh's habit of color blind casting.
