    Professor Herbert Josiah Weller teaches physics at Desert State University. Bruce Banner was Herbert's star student and was there when the military branch, Los Diablos, recruited him for the Gamma research. Herbert heard about the Gamma bomb accident and was happy that Bruce had survived, and like the rest of the country was horrified by Bruces new alter ego.
