Career
Helen Stone first became involved in comics in the late 1980s when she worked for
Marvel UK on their
The Real Ghostbusters comic as a letterer. She also acted as a colourist and editor on this title and, on one occasion, as a writer. She began to work more frequently as a colourist in the early 1990s, colouring such titles as
Death's Head II,
Dark Angel and
The Knights of Pendragon, among others. During this time she continued to work as a letterer, lettering for the
Doctor Who Magazine Special,
The Sleeze Brothers and
The Transformers, among others.
Personal Life
Helen Stone, also known as "Hel," was born and raised in the United Kingdom. She retired from comics to work on children's books sometime after 1995.
